Good Round but Bad Service
The round itself was good. The bad review s for a VERY rude starter/ranger that refused to help with slow play, and gave us attitude when we asked him to do his job. Unacceptable at any level. Our round ended up taking over 5.5 hours.
Nice Course
Friendly staff, nice carts, good conditions.
should be better for the price
played here many times and I think today's conditions where the worst I have ever seen.
tee boxes trash
green 4 of 18 were ok rest trash
did the mower break?? rough is 5in thick
sand traps ok but not maintained
DO Better
Never Changes
We have been “playing” this course in our rotation for a few years now. We always ask about the conditioning of the course after our round, and we are always told the same thing; “Improvements are coming, We just changed greens keepers, We are hiring more landscapers, The county is planning renovations.” But nothing ever changes.
It’s time to change the management of the course. This is obvious. The persons in charge of running it for the 10 years that we have been playing here have run the course into the dirt. The greens were the only good thing about the place, but now even they are absolutely terrible. There is overgrown grass all over to swallow balls. The bunkers are still atrocious. The Pro Shop even smelled like marijuana. It was just a run down, very poorly run experience.
Horrible Greens and Fairway
It’s peak summer, you would expect the fairways to be in good condition. I am definitely not an expecting world class, but huge patches in the fairways makes you feel you hit a bad shot :). Anyways I am hoping they take care of the course, as I really like the layout which is pretty challenging Shiukd have taken some pics
Time out
Coarse use to be in great shape now lot of greens are burned out and missing grass on fairways and lots of pivots on greens just needs better maintenance and coarse could be nice
Why can you mow the grass?
The greenskeeper has one job. Mow the grass. Every time we play out here the rough is thicker than the us open. Why can’t you keep the rough mowed and the course cleaned up? $80 is way too much for this dog track.
Medicore Meadows
Course not maintained at a high standard. Rough 4 inches plus in some areas. Anything hit there became a mystery. Tee boxes worn. . Decent layout. The place just needs some attention.
Sucked
Terrible round. Pace of play was like 6 hours and no ranger to complain to. Greens sucked. Slow, with ball marks and cleat scuffs all over. Burnt areas on a lot of them. Lost balls all over the rough. Broke a sand wedge on a softball sized rock hitting out of the bunkers. Even the beers were warm in the clubhouse. Will not return.
Course used to be great, now it’s in shambles
This course used to be a hidden gem in central Jersey. Well kept, great layout, enjoyable. They had and still have a beverage cart on weekends, and the restaurant/bar afterwards at the Clubhouse are great. But the course is in terrible shape this year. Really overgrown areas in the rough that used to be kept up with. Not sure if they are going for the punishing second cuts like pga tournaments, but this is causal golf in central jersey, and it just looks ugly and unkept. And god forbid you hit it there, you’ll almost never find the ball. It’s like this on nearly every hole. Just looks like an attempt to save money. At $80/round, just unacceptable conditions. The greens were also in poor condition. I know weather has been a factor, but this course is in some of the worst kept shape I’ve seen any golf course this season.
