Pleasantly surprised
Saw this course on golf now a couple of times. We decided to give it a try. We’ve had wet conditions and it was misty that morning ,afternoon. This course doesn’t look like it’s going to be too much trouble. But you have to hit a good ball off the tea. Back nine is better than front as we read about. All in all you should give this course a try PS you definitely have to stay for lunch at the Caddyshack bar/restaurant they have awesome food and a nice happy hour after 3 o’clock .ENJOY
Great Design bad upkeep
Played many times and always enjoyed the course. The last few years the green get a blight and the course is not well kept it's a shame. Half the greens you couldn't putt.
Absolute dog track. Horrendous Horrendous excuse for a golf course. Never again.
Great conditikn
Having played here many times I have to say this time around was by far and away the best conditions I have ever seen. MAJOR shout out to the cart girl on Sunday as I was beginning to think the never hit the back nine but she came by 3 times on the back. She was great!!!! A definite keeper.
Worst of the worst munis
For the price they charge you should be getting much better conditions and experience. The greens were bad, tee boxes are already chewed up, bunkers are garbage. It took us 5 and a half hours to play Masters Sunday. No rangers in sight, group in front of us was leaving beer cans on the green edges. Bad experience, will not go back.
Course in good shape.
They are installing sprinklers.
The course should stay good during the summer.
Needs Work
I recently moved adjacent to the property. The course has good bones but is in dire need of work and improvements. The walking paths around the property are great for the community in the evenings, and opening the course for neighbors on weekday evenings this summer will be a great move by Middlesex County.
Great bang for the buck!
Very good, we'll maintained course at a value price!
Done
Troon should be removed from managing Middlesex County golf courses immediately. They ruined Tamarack, which had to be redone, then destroyed The Meadows, and now Raritan Landing has suffered the same fate. The greens are unplayable, the tees are nothing but dirt, and the overall experience is consistently terrible.
Not Great
Club house and staff were great, 19th hole is great, but the greens were atrocious. Not worth the $80 to play here.
Slow Play
The pace of play here is absolutely terrible. A round that should take four hours dragged on for well over six, with no effort from management to speed things up. There were no marshals on the course, and it was clear the ownership does not care about the customer experience. Extremely frustrating and not worth the money.
Should be farm land
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to play golf in a cow pasture that someone once dreamed might be a course, this is your chance. The fairways are basically dirt roads, the greens are more brown than green, and the bunkers are just holes filled with disappointment. Ownership? Let’s just say they must be allergic to effort, because nothing here has been maintained in years. If your idea of a good time is losing balls in knee-high weeds and paying for the privilege, this place is a five-star comedy show.
