Rockleigh Red/White
Course was in very good condition with all the play it gets. Teed off at 7:10 AM and took less than 4 hours to finish. Need to reactive drinking water on course and put some rakes near sand traps again. . Sand traps need some work.
Awful Course
The worst course I ever played and I’ve played a lot of courses. The greens were in horrible shape. The course was not taken care of properly. The course was full of leaves all over the place and made it impossible to find your ball even if you hit it in the middle of the fairway. The worker at the front desk named Leo was nasty and obviously hated his job. Do yourself a favor and find another course to play
Rockleigh in great conditions
Played Rockleigh recently and based on the time of year the conditions were excellent. Almost no leaves on the course and greens were perfect. This was not expected due to the conditions of most Bergen County run courses so I will definitely be returning soon.
The course was in good shape.Pace of play was pretty good .We finished in a little over 4 hours.
Bring a fake id
Great course but the ranger wouldn’t give us our IDs back after finishing bc we didn’t finish at 6pm on the dot. We finished at 605 and even though they were waiting at the front desk and told us before we started that we should have no problem finishing on time, they still didn’t give us back our IDs. They should do a cash deposit for the cart keys, not IDs and because of that, I have to drive out the next day to pick up the driver license. I wouldn’t recommend this course if your tee time is after noon.
Red & White courses
Considering the time of year, you can't expect too much, so the tee boxes, bunkers and greens were imperfect but good enough to not complain.
Course layouts were very comfortable (for intermediate players) and challenging. Noticed the white course, especially last few holes were much more soggy, muddy in spots than rest. Although there were a few water stations, a cart person would have been appreciated. Minor points all considering I'm looking forward to playing here again, especially including the Blue course.
