Spooky Brook Golf Course in Somerset is a player-friendly course that is perfect for beginners. It offers just enough of a challenge but it still allows you some room for error. At 6,655 yards from the back tees, the golf course is relatively short but the greens, tees, and fairways offer plenty of room. The mostly flat terrain makes for an enjoyable walk and it's also wide open. While the golf course may not be the most formidable test, it does have a few challenges in store. Water has a presence throughout the course, especially on the back nine. Whether or not you are looking to hone your skills or if you want a casual round, the well maintained golf course appeals to any skill level. In addition to the course, Spooky Brook G.C. also has a driving range that you can use to warm-up.

The course is in great condition throughout but the greens, while smooth and nice, were maddening slow. The speed certainly didn't match the look of them. The problem is not a single hole stood out, it's as if someone put a golf course on an open piece of land, planted some trees and put some bunkers in. Plenty of potential but it needs a makeover to frame the holes and lose the diving range feel off the tee.

First time at Spooky this year.
Will be back.
Would like to see water stations on the course, to be able to refill water bottles.
New carts… no gps, but new carts
It’s Been Better
I know it’s early in the season but: tees shaggy/little or no sand in the traps/fairway grass spotty/what’s up with the traps on 11?
Greens good, pace of play VG, and good staff.

The course was in great shape. They have made some positive improvements.
Great course but pricey
Gas carts not up to date wants 44 dollars a cart for 18.
Carts not quiet and bumpy
But course was beautiful and greens were kept pure!
Loved my round but 72 dollars for public course ?? Rutgers ain’t even that on weekday..
