Quail Brook Golf Course
About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

THIS COURSE WAS EXCEPTIONAL
ENJOYED THIS COURSE IMMENSELY. GREAT CONDITION, LAYOUT, GREENS, FAIRWAYS, T BOXES.
CONGRATS STAFF FOR EXCELLENT MAINTENANCE.
Pristine Conditions.
First time playing Quail Brook. One of the the best courses I’ve played this year. Friendly staff and course conditions are perfect from the tee boxes to the fairways to the greens.
Can’t wait to play here again
Fabulous
Played for 1st time and it was spectacular. Course was pristine and a joy to play.
Tremendous
Even with the extra heavy winds, the course was a GEM. Keep up the good work.
Not a level playing field
Quail Brook is an often lauded member of the somerset county golf course system. Like the others, it’s always in great shape. What sets it apart from its closest neighbor, Spooky Brook, is its seemingly lack of a level playing surface. From its collection of angled fairways to its undulating greens one leg always feels longer than the other. This with its lightening fast putting surfaces makes for an interesting and challenging round of golf. For golfers who like a course with a bite, Quail Brook is a great place to play. Enjoy !!!
Nice course
The greens were perfect, pace of play under 4 hours which was great for a beautiful day. Hot deal was awesome $35 with a cart at 1:20 tee off. Can’t wait to go again
QB 10/4/24
The groups in front of us were extremely slow, even though some groups were 2 players.
We could not finish our round and could play only 13 holes.
We started at 2:35pm and generally take 4 hrs to complete a round.
But the groups in front of us forced us to wait for long periods on every hole.
Good course, Bad people
The course itself was nice and well maintained.
It was raining when we arrived at the course, but it was still playable.
Starting from the 4th hole, it began pouring down, and we couldn’t even finish the 6th hole, and we had to return to the clubhouse.
I asked the front, "Do you guys release rain checks?"
The old tall white guy with grey hair said, "NO."
I said, "Okay.", to be honest, it didn’t bother me, and I tried to leave.
At that moment, he suddenly said, "YOU drove here to play, right?"
It was like he was saying, 'It's your fault for coming here. You should have predicted the weather,' and he was putting the blame on me.
I wondered why he had to say that to someone who was already leaving with an "okay."
His words were very aggressive, and it made me feel being offended.
He added unnecessary comments, and he could have spoken much more gently.
'Sorry, we don't,' would have been enough.
Of course, it was disappointing that we couldn't finish the game, but I was still in a good mood, but then the guy's attitude ruined everything.
It’s been 10 hours since I left the clubhouse, and I still feel a bit depressed.
Fun layout
Not a very long course scoring opportunities all around … great pace and hot dogs to call in while teeing off on 9 was amazing. Will be back !
Good course. In good shape and challenging. Downside is no cart and no clubhouse or food. They had food truck in parking lot but only sold hotdogs and snacks.
