New Mexico State University Golf Course

We wanted play the NMSU for awhile, beening winter time the fairways were brown, the greens were fast, we will play again in the spring, had a good time.

This was the first time playing this course as being somewhat new to the game it was challenging biut what a great course. The greens were fast and the course was in great shape the staff very freindly and I can't wait to play the course again when AI am in town.

My wife and I played with another local old-timer - like us - so we had a wonderful time - the course was fair but challenging - greens were very fast and it took a few holes to get the speed. I had a later "cheap" time which wouldn't have allowed us to finish before sunset so I called and they moved us up nearly 1 hour which allowed us to not only finish but get the most beautiful views and sunset. This is a course anyone can play and should - the NMST mocs won the 2014 mens and womens WAC conf. and I can see why - they have a great practice facility that would rate equally with any private club.

We played the twilight time so it was slow but.over all, we liked the course.

Course is in great shape, enjoy the scenery. greens are slow in the morning, fast in the afternoons. great guys working there. I really enjoy playing there.

Fairways very nice , rough was high and thick difficult to hit out of and if not paying attention will loose your ball, greens were fast. Will go back and play again

Very nice pro shop..very good service. Challenging course with nice elevation changes. Very good fairway conditions considering a recent aeration. Excellent rough height with just enough penalty. Greens rolled true but a little slow for my taste. Overall nice course that I will definitely play again.

I love playing NMSU. It's a convenient location, the staff is friendly, the course is always in great shape, and there's always someone driving around in case you need additional food or beverages while out on the course. Everything is neat and in order, the carts have modern technology, and overall the scenery is beautiful. Definitely will (and already have) recommended to friends and family.

I enjoyed the course. I have played it 3 times always under 4 hrs. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. Course plays better from longer tees. Other than some big rocks in the bunkers, I enjoy this course and recommend it.

Enjoy playing on this course, when time allows. The terrain is such one can walk, though demanding at times with the elevation changes.

Work on the new sprinkler system has left many sand lines, though staff working to get grass to grow and cover the marked lines. Fairways can be challenging if one hit one of these numerous sand lines, but otherwise compatible for the average plus golfer.
