Early season conditions
It was a decent course to play. Quite dry and winter dormant grass on rough and fairways. Many places there is virtually no support under the ball.
Nice time
Great time grew up in Las Cruces and first learned how to play golf at NMSU in High School.
The greens are surprisingly slow, and they do not break as much as you think. Course is in great condition and well maintained nice facility overall awesome experience!
The greens are great, pace is always an issue but like the course
Overall
We played this course while on our way to Tuscon in March so it wasn't the best time of year. Never-the-less, we really enjoyed the course , would play it again and would recommend it to others.
Good Greens
The greens are very good shape! The fareways are dead this time of year and the bunkers in good shape. Grateful for No strong winds.
So so
The course has gone downhill the last few years. First of all, the COVID SPAMDEMIC is over! Where are the ball washers at the tee boxes! Some of the sand traps only have one rake. There's water fountains at several areas BUT, only a few are turned on! The marshals work in exchange for play time but THEY DO NOTHING! The marshals I've interacted with have VERY BAD ATTITUDES! The course use to carry water in a LARGE IGLOO COOLER for free and I must say this was a HUGE BONUS for people on medication that makes them thirstier than most people. I consider the lack of working water fountains a HEALTH HAZARD! The course will learn the hard way about these simple things.

Speaking of...love the Bermuda fairways this time of the year, I'll take that extra 20 yards!

Weather added a special touch to this iast T time at New Mexico Golf course
Course was stacked, bit didn't really have wait on too many teeboxes.
So slow…starter insisted we go off as a five-some. Ridiculous!
greens are fantastic and bunkers are best in town. great value, but you pay for it with nauseating pace of play!
Grass
Grass was mostly dry brown color but the greens were fine
