Avid golfer
Course is in great shape. If ten would dry out it would be perfect
Good value but
Course in good condition although bit soft fairways and greens. Greens are rolling nice but one gripe I have is that the on course toilets are in bad shape and the doors were broken for many years..does not close or lock. Hope they fix them.
Great experience
My very first time at Spook Rock. Everything about this course is great. I usually play the Bergen County course, and this one blows the away in every aspect. Extra $$$ and drive is well worth it. A great mix of easier and harder holes. Great conditions. Got paired up with a lovely husband and wife who showed patience with my lack of course familiarity. I will consider an associate membership in 2020 for sure.
Great course
Very fun course to play. It contains plenty of dog legs that make you work through your bag. Greens were in great shape, often sloping back to front causing some laughable putts to fall off of the green. Be aware they are fast. Great course highly recommended!
A Walk in the Woods
I've played Spook Rock some years before but was more impressed this time. Green and fairways all in very good shape, course drains well and is fine for walking. Not too long but long enough for most golfers. A fair course that rewards basic straight shots - no gimmicks - but gets to you if you get into the trees. Fine for all levels.
No yardage markers so pace slow golfers looking for yardage market other then that great course
Slow
After three holes, the group in front of us was two holes behind. No marshals. Sent a message to the pro shop and nothing. The lack of marshaling is killing the game. Keep people keeping up or make them skip holes. Jumped them and a hole. Would have been over 5 hrs.
Wet n slow
Course was wet, cart path only. Tee shots were plugging in the fairways. Pace of play was slow, almost took 5 hours. Greens were very slow. A lot of the ball washers had no water or no towels. Course is usually in much better condition when dry.
