I Recommend This Course
Good course and layout but always slow
I like the course itself and the conditions are very good. Pace of play is a problem here though. My round was 5 hours and 9 minutes. The only thing I can think is that the slow play is caused by the alternating nature of a par 4, par 5, par 4, par 3, and so on throughout the course. Only the ninth and tenth holes are back to back par 4s. I have played the course on random weekdays, weekends, and varying tee times. It is always slow. I’m fairly certain they do 10 minute tee times so that shouldn’t be the problem.

Well Done Spook Rock!
Friday afternoon in the summer I was expecting a 5 hour round. Spook Rock was absolutely awesome. I teed off exactly on time and the tee times are adequately spaced. The round was 4h 20m which is what I would expect from a well run course.
The course was in a great condition as well. I got a golfnow tee time $60 all in and I consider this an excellent value in the metro NY area.
