Got a 4:20pm tee time for $45 thinking I could get a full round in by 8:30. On the 12th green i was told by the ranger that the course closes at 7:30 and that I needed to leave. They have the audacity to take tee times as late as 5:50 and charge good money knowing that they close in an hour and a half. When I called the pro shop the next day to explain what had happened they told me to read their course policies next time before I go out and that their was nothing more they could do for me. Would NOT recommend anyone else playing this course and getting taken advantage of.
Beware the water hazards
Great course with some challenging greens. But, beware the water hazards on the back 9; 14, 15, and 16.
Nice layout
Enjoy playing this course. Just be cautious on the 5th hole driving down the switchback turns are slippery, causing tires to slide
Good value with lunch included
Although we played in just over 4 hrs the pace was a little slow and we were a foursome playing behind a threesome who were playing behind a twosome. Staff was VERY nice. Course was in pretty good shape. Would play there again

Overall Bad Experience
Walked onto the tee starter tells me I am late, i tell him i have 2pm he starts telling me he has 2:01 and that he should not let me out on the course. After a few minutes of him yelling at me he tells me that he will let me play if I promise to let any group that comes up behind me to play through. What he fails to tell me is that the group ahead of me is a foursome of very slow old women. Stood over every shot for 6-7 minutes and even after complaining to a ranger about pace of play 3 hours to play 9 I was not allowed to pass this foursome ahead of me as a single player. Will never recommend this course to anyone and will not go back to play
A little expensive
The course was nice. If you live in the town the price is perfect but for a non resident it's pricey.
Much better than a few years ago
Played this course for first time in several years. Much improved since I last played. Fairways are lush, tee boxes are good and sand is okay. Greens are healthy but a bit slow. It's got some very good holes and a couple of strange ones. A par 3 on the back 9 has been converted to a challenging par 4 with a layup drive, 3 wood, or less and a shot over water to green well guarded by a big bunker. Overall it's a pretty nice track and worth playing. I'll be back again.

a very good time
beautiful part of New York to play in. Fun course, with all kinds of elements: Elevation, water, plenty to think about while you look for the right club to select.
Good and bad
The course is always good but the ranger were letting people play slow for the hour of the day .....
Friendly Staff
Played Rotella on 11/9. The guy inside the pro shop (maybe the pro?) couldn't have been nicer. Knowing we never played here, he told us about a few tricky holes and gave us some tips along with a course map. Pace of play could have been better, it was a nice day for November so maybe everyone was trying to get in their last round of the year. They were rebuilding #7 so it played as a par 3 instead of 4, but overall it was a great value for a solid course. Very enjoyable round.
Rotella Round
Play this course a couple of times per year. Greens were surprisingly fast considering recent rain. Some hole placements were tougher than "usual" especially with trying to keep weekend play moving
Red tee--lady friendly
I was only able to play 10 holes due to rain but course offers a shorter overall yardage for the red tee but still challenging with the water hazzards, narrow fairways & bunker placements
One of the Best Public Courses in Rockland County
Well maintained and well run golf course. The burgers from the restaurant were great too. To keep the course moving they advised us to take our lunches to-go and eat as we played or we would add hours to our round as you must fall back several groups when you stop. It's a strict policy, but it keeps things moving well.
Do not play on a sunday
Played this course a couple of times before and loved it, however I was very disappointed this time around. We got stuck behind a group of 8 playing in front of us!! That is just ridiculous! Pace was so slow for obvious reasons that we had not even finished 15 holes after 5 hours! No rangers on the course either.

Golf now was suppose to offer us lunch with our round and then the course would not honor it. So not a good experience

Terrible Course Conditions
I've played this course many times over the years and it is always in great shape. Yesterday, the course was in terrible shape. The tee boxes were all chewed up. The greens had plenty of unrepaired divots (not the fault of the course I know) and spike marks all over the place. The faiways needed some mowing. I couldn't believe how horrible the course was. Like I said, I am always pleased with the course conditions here, but this was next level disappointment.
Rotella played well
Course was in excellent shape for mid august. Played in about 4 hrs on a friday morning, would have been faster, we were bunched up a little on the first 3 holes, but no backups.
