Terrible Course Management
Truly terrible course management. Cart path only in bone dry summer with gps carts restricting movement. Only part of the course in decent condition was the greens, the tee boxes and fairways were in horrendous condition and clearly aren’t given much attention. Staff was unfriendly and need a ranger to keep pace of play
No Rain Checks
I played nine holes. It started thunderstorming on hole 10. I asked for a rain check but wasn't aware that since I booked through the Golf Now app, they could not offer me a nine-hole rain check like all other golfers were receiving. I wouldn't say I liked that, but that is their policy. The staff was very friendly about everything, though!
Customer is always wrong
Tee boxes are awful, fairways just as bad. Greens are just ok. Course management decided to spend a bunch of money on new carts.
Today was cart path only and the new carts would shut down if driven off the path. But today they decided to stop running on the path too. After sinking my putt on 9, I couldn’t get the cart to move forward so had to back up to the clubhouse. The gentleman informed me I must have driven off the path. He was quite aggressive with his comments. I’m 65 years old and understand what Cart Path Only means. The back nine was even worse, we ended up backing up most of it. I thought it was just us, but noticed later almost everyone was driving backwards!
May I have my money back?
Never again!
Not bad
Course was pretty soggy with all the rain in the beginning of April. But overall was a good layout. Had some elevation changes on holes but wasn't too crazy. Good intermediate course.
Web site incorrect infoI.
We had t-time for 4:20 (3 players). I looked at the web site before driving out there and it said OPEN.
When we arrived the gate was locked. It was a 25 minute drive for 2 of us and a 45 minute drive for the third player.
We enjoy playing this course but that’s no way to operate!
Regards, rick
Web site misinformation
We had a 4:20 t-time on 4/29. I checked their website before driving out there and saw that the course was OPEN ( it had rain the previous night and that’s the reason I checked the web before going).
When we arrived ,the course was gated and closed. 3 of us drove out there (2 cars) only to find the course closed ( I checked the website again while sitting at the gate and it said OPEN).
Not happy about wasting our time based on bad info that was provided on their website.
Fun goat track
People are friendly . Greens are good. Layout is fun. Course condition is very poor. But for $40 on a weekend….it can be fun: and food at the turn is tasty.
👍🏻
Greens look good. Tee boxes could use some love as does the fairways. Still one of my fav places to tee off.
Love the Course!
One of my favorites in Saint Louis. Just a good all around place. You get a valley feel and it’s always a good time when we play this one!
Needs to be better
I played this course about 5 years ago and it was in great condition. I played last week and there might have been grass on 9 of the holes. The other 9 was dirt mixed with dead grass. Tee boxes are just dirt. This course could very easily be one of my favorites if they just fixed the condition. The greens weren't even bad. There was just hardly any grass on the fairways and tee boxes.
Some improvements
New carts w/ GPS and some repaired cart paths were nice to see.
Layout is fun. Staff is friendly. Greens are nice. The rest of the course is C minus. But you get what you pay for.
Great Course!
Love playing here! Not a long course but challenging. Mike and the staff manage the course well by making clear what their expectations are and staying out of the way. Highly recommend!
Play was backed up by expected for nice weather and business of the course. What wasn't appreciated was the golf etiquette from group behind us. Several times we were hit into by this group including balls going past us on our approach shots and even one time their ball striking our cart while one golfer was in it. It was busy and we were waiting for the group ahead of us, we were not playing any slower than business of course was allowing. They even called the Marshall on us who followed us for 3 holes and said we were not doing anything wrong and to let them pass after 9 which we did and then waiting on them as etiquette required the rest of the round. Just feel that situation could have been handled better by course and Marshall. Don't know if that's a typical interaction at this course since it was the first time I have golfed here. Decent course for the money
