About
Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Golfer Reviews
Great Course but an amazing course at $29.99.
Course was in great shaped as expected coming out of winter. Pro on site was super friendly with some very helpful pointers. Will play again soon!
Wasted money
Feel like I wasted my money for myself my son and brother in law to play as there were 2 teens in front of us taking their time with their phones and speaker being loud and obnoxious along with 2 older guys on front of them kept holding us up from playing multiple holes. Called the pro staff desk and saw it not get handled as the staff went away it went right back to how it was prior. Never felt like a waste of money to that day
Great shape !
Course is in great shape . A few holes have wet spots short of the green. Not a showstopper but would love to see them do something about it. Greens looked and rolled great. Overall great experience for a discounted rate!
Great place to play
Greens are still recovering from punching and a bit slow ,
But a great place to play
SLOW
I understand public golf courses are trying to make money but tee times that are 7 minutes apart are unacceptable. My foursome was early for our tee time but we weren’t able to tee off until 15 minutes after our tee time. There were three groups on every hole and we had to wait to hit every shot. It took my group over 3 hours to play 9 holes. At the turn, there were 3 groups waiting to tee off on the back 9, so we cut our losses and didn’t even attempt to play the back 9. This is absurd. I love the course but it’s ridiculous that it has come to this. I do not recommend playing out here until they add more time in between tee times. It should be 12 minutes apart, 7 is just not even close to doable. Be better Oak Valley and do the right thing.
Great course, fun to play!
Really enjoyed the course! Only negative was that not enough people fix their ball marks.
Phenomenal Greens
I'll cut to the chase. Overall course conditions and layout are pretty good. The condition of the greens were excellent. So good that my playing partner and I didn't have one three putt between us for 18 holes!! Play it!!
Great track
Hilly and fair.
I played the tips and only had one tee box that wasn’t perfect.
These greens are bent grass and were very soft. The sand in the traps was fluffy and soft. The staff was friendly and the carts were powerful but dated.
I really enjoyed the round and the track was challenging but fair. I’ll be back for another round.
Nice Course
I played twilight and easily fit in 18. I came up from Atlanta and found some time to play. It was a great layout, great conditions. A couple geese died on the range from various shots but outside of that, A+ round.
Best golf value in the Triad
Oak Valley never disappoints! For the price, this course offers an exceptional experience, and arguably one of the best hidden gems in the Triad area. Great pace of play, carts are clean and in great shape. Greens are always in excellent condition. The layout is both challenging and rewarding, hit a good shot and you are set up great, miss and pay the price. Tee boxes could have been cut a little closer but not bad at all. Love playing Oak Valley and highly recommend.
