Sugar Mountain Golf Club

Tom runs an amazing property, especially considering 1 yr since helene. Narrow fairways but big greens. Balls will be lost, fun will be had.

Really live this course. Tom and his crew do an awesome job. Even with less than 18 holes available since Helene, the course is a excellent shape. I have been playing there for many years and will continue to do so!

We were put behind a single who was walking.. did not allow us to play through. Not worth the deal.

A jewel of a golf course located in the cool mountains of North Carolina. The golf course is meticulously cared for.. tee boxes, greens and fairways are in excellent shape. Flowers add a punch of color throughout the course. The prettiest and best maintained course I’ve played on… period. Congrats to the grounds crew and staff… they have much to be proud of.

Very good condition for what they went thru. Green were very good. Holes that are open are great.

Have played here for 8 years now. It got beat up pretty bad by the hurricane last sept, but they now have 13 holes open again. They are reconstructing all of their bunkers with the latest technology and materials, it’s going to be awesome again but probably not until next spring. Little overpriced now for what you get, but they really need the money and support to make it even better than it was before.

A great course for everyone. Even with a few holes still closed this is an excellent place to play. I will definitely be back several times. Great job to everyone at the course.

because of the hurricane last yr, course has only 9 holes open, & if you want to play 18, you play the 9 holes 2x.

this should have been told to palyers before signing up, and also on the website.

play is slow because of this, but the 9 holes are in excellent condition

My heart goes out to the staff at Sugar Mountain Golf Course. Still recovering from Helene, they keeping what they have well maintained and their staff if keep a stiff upper lip. There is positivity all about, I look forward to playing again soon and look forward to when they are fully up and running.

A short course that my husband could nearly drive the green! But the greens were super challenging! We want to play again ow that we know the layout and how the greens roll.

The course was in fantastic shape. Greens and tees and fairways were truly mint. Shorter course and lots of par 3s but a very fun round. Highly recommend

Sugar Mountain is always fun to play and one of our favorites.

Just the best that you can get…not overly expensive but you get that feel. I relish playing here once a year when i visit. Fairways are perfect and the greens are even better. Must play while you’re here.

Thought yardage meant it would be too easy. Was wrong. Just a shorter course, but lots of fun hitting every shot in bag. Plenty of longer par 3’s and medium par 4’s you can play to your ability. Beautiful surroundings. Pace of play surprisingly quick for public course. Close to Banner Elk town and plenty of amenities nearby there and at Sugar Mountain. Would play again.
