I recommend Sugar Top Golf Course
It was my first time to the area and first time to the course. I was a single and the starter quickly worked me in with another twosome. The course and scenery are stunningly beautiful! All the hills and trees and bubbling brooks make the course challenging but it was also short so I liked it. I'm 71 and normally play from the forward tees but since it was short, I could play from the whites. I will definitely return in the future.
Mountain Views ABOUND!
Played for first time with wife and other couple. Lots of elevation changes. Layout rewards the accurate and penalizes everyone else. Not a single green was simple for putting. HUGE breaking putts on some holes made for a truly challenging round. Length of course is perfectly fine for the average golfer though almost drove a couple of the par 4s. Would play again in a heartbeat especially now that we’ve played it once..
Mountain Golg
Great course in the Western North Carolina Mountains. Weather was great, 15 degrees cooler in the Mountains. Club house staff was were so friendly and helpful. Wish the bunkers were playable but with covid they made the right decision. Cooler friendly. Did not try any food in the clubhouse but others said it was great. Course was in great condition, greens were beautiful. Will be back, soon.
Par 3 course
I wish I knew it was a par 3 course, I wouldn't have wasted me time. It's half par 3s, the other half par 4s but you can drive the green on most of those too.
Mountain Golf
Course was in immaculate condition. Short course but lots of elevation changes and greens are in Great shape. Fun and challenging short course that requires accuracy.
Wonderful as always but saddly
Well, today I played my last round of golf for the next 6 to months or longer as I prepare for a total knee replacement next Tuesday. I finally broke 85! I will miss playing here but will be back in the spring next year!
Great course.
Great course. Green are fast and a true challenge with all the contour. Well worth the trip.
Good Course & Good Playing Partners
99% of my experience was excellent. My GPS was left inadvertently in the cart. After several phone calls and then a trip back to the golf course, I as told no one found my GPS. To say that I'm disappointed is an understatement. Someone had to find my GPS and I hope they enjoy it at my expense.
Beautiful Public Course
Was trying to find a place to play with my grandfather in law and everything seemed to be booked except this little gem of a course. It was my first mountain course, but it was a lot of fun! Don’t let the yardage fool you it may be a par 64, but it will definitely challenge you. Staff was very friendly as well.
GEM
Leave your driver at home. This short course doesnt require a driver even on the one par five. At 4400 yards from back tees, 9 par 3s, 1 par 5 and 8 par fours this course is extremely fun. Fast greens, good fairways just adds to the challenge. This is truly one of the most scenic courses in N.C. The altitude helps with heat and adds distance to your shots. Don't be fooled though, some of par threes are 200 yard range and require well placed and struck shots. My advice is to NOT be in any hurry as a course of this length brings out the old folks. I reccomend this course 100 percent as the fun and views are outstanding. Course in great shape tee to green.
Short course
Fun short course in very good condition fairways and greens. Pace slow. A lot of walkers at times and a lot of seniors at times so don’t be in a hurry
Some nice altitude changes and no real long fairways and only one par 5 so great to practice your short game.
Break on rates after 2.
