About
Located near the banks of Swift Creek, Lochmere Golf Club has plenty of water incorporated into the layout, coming into play on nearly every hole. The golf course stretches across a lush, gently rolling landscape sprinkled with mature trees and ponds. The terrain showcases the best in Triangle golf. At just over 6,600 yards it is not particularly long, but it provides plenty of challenges. It is a tight course that will test your accuracy with narrow fairways lined with trees. The small greens that are heavily protected by well placed bunkers demand thoughtful strategy and pinpoint control. The golf course offers a fair challenge but it is still accessible for beginners, especially from the forward tees. Lochmere G.C. is a favorite among Cary locals, both for its enjoyable design and its affordable rates.

Great course/ Done with GolfNow
Course is in great shape and much improved from a few years ago. However there was a terrible forecast and wanted to change my tee time but could not because of GolfNow Hot Deal restrictions
We played most of the round in rain and often times pouring rain. I will be deleting the GolfNow app and never using it again

Great course. Have played it 2x now. Good layout with multiple dog legs. Greens were nice and played at a good speed.
Good for the Price
We played on a heat advisory day when it was cart paths only and the greens had been sanded, so not ideal conditions. But we still had a fun day and the staff was helpful and friendly.
There was a lot of rain the night before. Course doesn't drain particularly well & play was cart path only.
Several tee boxes were in desperate need of repair, little to no grass.
The Grill still has the Best burgers & years ago used to be cheap. Now, fairly costly for a golf course grill.
Always cart path only
This course is a walkable course and should be considered if playing or planning on a cart as 90% of the time it’s cart path only if there has been any precipitation. Just something to think about prior to booking.
A Very Nice Course to Play in Raleigh NC
First of all , from the manager in the pro-shop helping you with tee times to the starter , the staff is exceptionally friendly. A reason to return . As for the course , a very nice layout , greens fast , Bermuda type of grass . I can see this course backing up on very busy days with the parallel hole layout.
I enjoyed the course and the crew I randomly paired up with , all gentlemen. Eric the local league player & member showed me the front 9 and Ken was my
buddy for the back .

Overall a very good course for the money. Greens were in great condition. Staff is friendly.
Great day of golf
Solid course, well laid out. Greens are super hard so be prepared for your ball to bounce off the green a lot.
Pretty walk, average course
Easy walk for a reasonable price, but unacceptable tee box conditions and muddy hard-pan conditions around greens due to the overcrowding trees. Nice range but needs a better chipping green. Consistently poor tee time and pace of play enforcement but nice staff. Most of the issues (including the wetness) could be solved by less trees and more sunlight on the course. Pace of play could be better enforced but kind of predictable due to the bottleneck course design.
Staff was very friendly. Carts were late models and clean with mounted coolers and ball/club washers. Practice putting green was large and well kept. No holes on it, just surface flag sticks. I'd prefer holes. Tees, fairways and greens were in great shape. Greens rolled like the practice green so that was a plus. Some of the tees on the back 9 were being resodded, but it didn't affect play. The refreshment cart passed by at least 4 times during the round. I was told it's not an every day thing yet, but should be starting soon. There were restrooms, water and ice at the midpoint facility. All in all it was a great day. I'll play there again soon.
