Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2016 #24)

Course is in really good shape
I have played this course at least a couple times per year for 20 years and this is the best I've seen it
They have made lots of changes that make it more playable, like clearing out the bushes to the right of #1 and 2, improving lots of fairways and tee boxes and keeping the greens a lot better. The new green on #8 is a huge improvement
#4 is currently closed for improvement and it looks like it will be a better hole when finished
The cart paths are vastly improved. The layout is still a bit dangerous when the course is crowded as #'s 7 and 17 can be in play from each tee box at the same time ,# 13 tee box is in danger of being hit from #17; # 4 and 6 fairways are at risk from each other's tee boxes
There should be some signs up at the tee boxes of several holes stating the yardage to get into and carry the creek or pond ahead (#2,4,6,9,15,16)
Short course but challenging with fast greens. Fairways and greens were in very good condition. Worth the experience and convenient location.
Good condition
Played this course for 20 years and it's in the best shape it's ever been in.
In no way worth $48 or 36 dollars
Over priced by $20
The course was not in good shape and the pace of play was dreadfully slow! I would look forward to playing it a couple times a year but never again.
Decent
Course was decent. The greens rolled well, but the tee boxes were too shaggy and you need a tee over 3 inches, which i did not have. There were a lot of very dry dirt patches around the course. Fairways were in good shape but you could be 2 feet off the fairway and be in a dry patch. Found a Hot deal on golfnow so it was ok pricing. I would golf here again, but only If the price was under 25$ and it was just a practice round.
Good Course
I love the layout of this course. The pace of play was great and overall conditions were good. The most important thing is the greens are in great condition! Some of the tee boxes and fairways could use some work, but overall it was a great round of golf.
Greens and fairways
Condition was good, undergoing some changes. Cart paths still need work
Course in Great Shape
I've played this course off and on for
20 years. It is the only municipal course
In St Charles County, layed out along
The Dardenne Creek so there is very little elevation change, but it has its own unique challenges. The Course is in the
Best shape that I have ever seen. Tee boxes greens and fairways all very nice.
Pace of play can be slow at times but is
Not the norm. Great price and easy to get
To.
Getting Better!
It was nice playing this course for the first time this year. They really have been doing a lot of work on the course and it's evident. Greens much improved from last year.
Best value
I'm not sure why this port is not very active anymore, but it is definitely a best value
Too many tee times
This was the worst case of greed I have seen at a golf course. There were some holes that had two groups of four (walking) and a group of school kids (about 15) going off the starting hole. This is all good and fine but I don't think they should have had an open tee sheet. I was hit into twice, once while I was chipping green side and end up only playing 16 holes. This still took a little over 5 hours, in which there was a two hole span that took 57 minutes.
Great pace for f the lay
Finished the round as a single in about 2 hours qnd 15 minutes. Course was fun and fairly short. Errant Anita are dangerous as holes are pretty close together. Some tough spots in low ar as but rain has everything green and greens rolling well
Good day
Thank you to the Front desk person for dealing with me being late course was way better than it used to be had a good time.
This course is great for the money
The course is well-maintained and offers some tight play. It's a pretty straight course without much elevation change but they offer fairly cheap tee times.
Potential to be a great course!
Its under construction and I played after a rainy week, on a gloomy spring day by myself. Not fair to give the course a bad review. It has great potential to be a great course! I will definitely try it again when its all completed. Everyone is so friendly out there, staff was great, I got a great hot deal, I enjoyed myself, what's there to complain about!?! When you get to play golf, life is great!!!
Not a good experience
We arrived at the course only to be told that the front nine was punched and sanded the day before and the back nine was being treated as we were playing. There was no offer to compensate the fact that the greens were practically unputtable.
Working
They have been doing a lot of work on the course. Getting better every time I play out there.
