Favorite Local Course
There are always great deals on this course. Challenging enough for a fairly new golfer. fairways can be close at times but it helps finding my ball a little bit easier when i slice.
Nice course for the money
The greens roll well and the fairways were tight. The tee boxes could use a little help. But, overall the course is in the best shape I have ever seen it.
It's ok
I like the staff and clubhouse. The greens are really nice. We played preferred lies in our own fairway and raked the bunkers and placed the ball as they were kind of rough to make it more enjoyable. Lots of construction. Not a great layout but some fun holes.
Okay for the Value
This is an easy course and is usually okay for the cost. The major issue with the course is that it can often get very busy and holes are tight together so you can often have people playing for different fairways. There are some very good things about the course but also a few negatives.
Working on the course
It has been awhile since I played this course and I am glad to see that they are spending funds to fix it up. New cart paths, new hazards, new bridges, removing over growth of trees and native plantings. Layout is still confusing for some and I have witnessed folks playing the wrong hole, notably 3, 10 and 13. Looking forward to when the work is finished.
Nice course!!
The golf course is nice and they are trying to make it better. Number 8 hole was unplayable because of construction going on at the golf course. Overall I enjoy playing this course. I love the layout and the pace of play. We can usually play 18 holes in about 3 1/2 hours!!
Couple holes closed normally great course
I like the course we had a lot of ran last month caused flood on the golf course. Play there few times a month. Great people out there.
Average to good
Fun course to play. They are doing a lot of work to it so is a little messy out there. But should be nice when done. online tee time are cheaper i do like that
Meh
St Peters is what it is. There is nothing fancy or special here. When the price is right, its fine. They tend to overcharge during the spring and summer and I refuse to pay 40$ for a round on this course. I found a better deal on this day and even then it was meh at best. The greens are slow and there was lots of construction on multiple holes. There was no marshal for a weekend round, but surprisingly the pace was not bad. At check in we were told that my two some were the only ones for our tee time, until we got to the first tee. There was a line of people and we ended up absorbing two singles to keep the line moving. This course is great for beginers and hackers, but anyone looking for a challenge or something above mediocre, prepare to be underwhelmed.
Looked like a contruction zone
Poor fairways, ok greens but very slow. Not marked well had no idea where to go next. Pace of play was ok but the price is high for such poor conditions.
First time player
Enjoyed playing the course lots of water.
Only negative was their lack of signage for tee locations ( got lost once ) and hole yardage signs.
But after playing the first time it should be easier.
Good value, fun course
The course isn't in the best condition it's ever been in, but that's ok. It's a fun course, the staff was friendly, and the value is unbeatable locally.
Course conditions are terrible.
This course is great if you would rather play on dirt than grass. I will never play this course again, if you're not hitting off the tee your hitting from dirt 50% of the time. For $40, weekend prices or not, this course is not worth it. Not to mention the construction on multiple fairways and their sad attempt to grow grass around it.
Swampy course
I've played this course before and enjoyed it. This time the course was filled with water from the recent rains. It was terrible. I think they shouldn't have taken tee times until much later in the day because of the water issues. The course did not drain well and was not very fun to play. Avoid after a good storm.
Overpriced for being in terrbile shape
Link style flat course. Greens are flat and in excellent shape, but nothing else is. Tee boxes are mostly uneven, at least the blue are. You are as likely to be hitting from dirt, or mud, or water puddle as you are grass in the fairways.
The cart path is ridiculously potholed and rough.
They pull the water coolers off the coarse at 6:30 pm or earlier if they bother putting them out at all. So if you're gonna play after work or after 4 pm better bring your own water. Safe to bring it anyway no matter the time. Warmest water I have ever had at a golf course.
The hourly night staff is more interested in going home than letting you play as late as possible. I assume it is also why they take the water so early.
I started play on one afternoon with light rain that ended in about an hour or so.
I normally play more than 18 holes but they decided to close this day because I was the only one playing. The Marshall followed for most of the back nine. I assume to let everyone know I had played 18 and they could kick me off now. Kelcie was especially rude about it.
The unlimited play in the afternoons is the only reason to go here really, other than that and the good shape of the greens nothing really good to say.
The construction going on will help, but the fairways and tee boxes need major work.
No bang for your buck
I thought I'd check out St. Peters Golf Course because of it's proximity to my house. So I purchased the Tee Time, and went out to play. Everything started out great; the gentleman at the counter was nice enough, and the carts were clean. I teed off, and things looked ok. As I got further onto the course, the state of the course began to deteriorate quickly. I found it difficult to find where my tee boxes were because the signage on the course is laughable. There are a few direction signs, but you really have to find your tee boxes through deduction and guessing. This is unacceptable, and unprofessional for a golf course that charges like they have a nice course. And yet there's more.
Construction equipment was all over the course, and the cart paths were in the process of being replaced. I understand that courses need to be maintained. I talked with the Marshall, I talked with the front desk employee and NO ONE mentioned the man-made obstacles strewn all over the course to me. They also didn't warn me about the flooding on the course; standing water was rampant. All they did was talk to me like I was incompetent when they brought up their cart path rule.
After limping through nine holes due to these issues, I decided that I would pack it in. It wasn't worth the time. As I rode through the remainder of the course, more and more issues began to become apparent to me. The lack of signage is consistent throughout the course, as is the construction and flooding.
I spoke with multiple people that told me they weren't surprised with my experience. For a course that charges $40 or more for 18 holes, I think this course is a rip off. I'd rather drive and get a legit, professional course than ever go to St. Peters again.
COURSE WILL IMPROVE IN A YEAR PROBABLY
THE COURSE WILL B BETTER AFTER THE CONSTUCTION BUT NOW ITS PRETTY ROUGH IT HAS A WAY TO GO BUT THEY JUST HAVE TO FINISH. SOO THEY SHOULDNT CHARGE THE RATE THEY DO WITH THE COURSE IN SUCH ROUGH SHAPE AND INFORM CUSTOMERS OF IT.
Improvements being made now
Good course. Short and easy but in decent shape and is countinually improving.
Needs a little more attention
Could use some TLC the course was rough and the greens could use some work as well as repairing the cart paths, lots of unnessasary bumps and holes.
