My game was not what it should have been. But it was a good get-a-way. The course was 3+ stars. Greens were very good shape. It looks like the course is get better than it was last year. Will play it again in a couple of months

It is the worst grass conditions I’ve seen in my years of playing. even my small local par 3 course is better up kept.

The tee boxes were chewed up and you had to look for a grass patch to hit off of. The fairways were in god awful condition. You couldn't tell the difference between the grass in the fairway from the grass in the rough. There are basically no fairway's, and no first cut. You were basically hitting off of dirt. Surprisingly, the greens were in great shape. They were slow, but the grass was in great shape and they rolled true. The cut around the green wasn't in all that bad of shape. I would be willing to bet that the courses upkeep budget was 100% dedicated to maintaining the greens. I tip my cap to those guys who work on the greens, but come on guys, you need to work on the fairways too.

My wife and I really enjoyed our round at SGCC. Greens were in great shape. Fairways are in the works due to Mother Nature. It was a fun round! Super friendly staff. We’ll be back!

Every time I come to play SG I see improvements. They are working hard to make it better. Greens are fast and challenging. Lots of elevation changes and long holes.Love to play here when I can ,great golf for the money. Shop staff is always friendly and helpful. If I see a maintenance worker on the course I try to let them know that I have noticed the work they are doing to improve the course. Thanks SG staff and maintenance.

Challenging course and very well maintained. All fairways, bunkers and greens were well kept. Excellent price as most courses in the area are more expensive. Would certainly recommend S Granville CC and look forward to playing here again.

For the price this course is great. Challenging enough with many hills. There are not as many sand bunkers as other courses I have played, but it makes up the difficulty by some greens that have fast breaks. If you miss the right spot, your ball can easily roll off the green.

Course has a good layout and difficulty. 100 yard.to carry overwater hazard. Played after it had rained. The course was a little wet but dried out quickly.. Great little gem.

Play here few times a year, course has potential!

The greens were excellent as always, rolled true but were slightly slow for the most parts unless you had a downhill putt on the 12th, Greens were probably rolling around a 8-9.

Grass was dormant so you can’t expect but so much but it was really thin for the most part, if your a group that plays club length you can find lies that have grass on them,

I shot 102, very disappointed I didn’t amount up to the elevation changes, fast greens and wind gust of 15mph.

Id love to play again. Walked all 18 at 8:20am done by 11:30

The course needs some work on the fairways. Some organizations will go a long way; no starter looks like a family course, and I just saw one employee during check-in.

The course is in need of maintenance and repair, from the parking lot to the cart path to the roughs and holes that need fresh cutting. They were piles of sand and some of the bunkers but I guess we’re waiting to be spread. The clubhouse had a little bit to offer.

30 minutes outside of Raleigh, not too busy, GREAT value. I love coming here solo and buzzing through 18 holes. Staff is always friendly and the course is great for more casual play

All of the rain has improved the fairways, although there are a few holes with swampy sections. The pace of play was great until I caught up to a threesome that were ridiculously slow for the last 4 holes. They seemed unwilling to let single a play through. Thinking back - I should have skipped a hole and had 40 minutes less in the heat of the day.
