The course needs some work on the fairways. Some organizations will go a long way; no starter looks like a family course, and I just saw one employee during check-in.
Stay closer to home
The course is in need of maintenance and repair, from the parking lot to the cart path to the roughs and holes that need fresh cutting. They were piles of sand and some of the bunkers but I guess we’re waiting to be spread. The clubhouse had a little bit to offer.
Great value
30 minutes outside of Raleigh, not too busy, GREAT value. I love coming here solo and buzzing through 18 holes. Staff is always friendly and the course is great for more casual play
Good condition
All of the rain has improved the fairways, although there are a few holes with swampy sections. The pace of play was great until I caught up to a threesome that were ridiculously slow for the last 4 holes. They seemed unwilling to let single a play through. Thinking back - I should have skipped a hole and had 40 minutes less in the heat of the day.
Great day of golf!
Spent the day with my daughter who is still learning to play. She plays at the high school level and this golf course was great. We were not pressured to play with a group and the pace did not push us and we did not have to wait it was just right. Good conditions all around and very friendly staff. Coolers on the carts were great with fresh ice in the club house. I would not hesitate to go back. Great value.
1st time playing this course
This was a very fun and challenging course. The fairways were shaggy but greens were immaculate! When you consider the price this course is a great value and I will definitely play again!
First time
Enjoyed my experience. Different style of course, only played the front 9 so incomplete review.
A little patchy in the fairway on most holes but it’s been hot and raining, so that’s probably why.
Tees were grass covered and flat. The main thing I noticed was almost every green was elevated. After a decent tee shot you couldn’t see the surface of the green for approach on 1,2,3,6,7. Pretty unique.
Greens were in great condition, green with no ball marks.
Very nice staff in pro shop and at 1st tee. Will definitely return to play the back 9

I took my two teenage sons out to this course for the first time. The employees of the course were wonderful and super helpful. I would highly recommend this course. Greens roll great and are quick. Great experience.
Come a long way!
Been playing here for two years now and I cannot believe it every time I go with my buddies everything keeps getting nicer and nicer. Staff is always as friendly as can be and the grounds are so well kept with BEAUTIFUL fairways and greens. I feel like I get a steal every time I play here. Especially when we can hit a hot deal!
Nice!
Lots of water, true greens, really loved hole #2, everyone was friendly, did I mention lots of water?? I enjoyed the round, no complaints!!
Needs a lot of work.
I booked the round through GolfNow - $29.00 for 18 (walking), but they tried to charge me $44.00 when I arrived….. I realize it was a mistake (the lady thought I was taking a cart), but it was not a very encouraging start to the round.
Pretty course, but a lot of work required to make it enjoyable to play. Many areas are having drainage problems, while fairways look like they’re in late summer condition instead of late spring.
Lots of tee boxes are under repair and the temporary teeing areas are very uneven…. On several holes it was impossible to get a level spot, so it felt like playing off a hillside.
First nine pace of play wasn’t too bad… but got stuck behind a twosome on the back nine who were obviously beginners and not familiar with the etiquette of allowing folks to play through…. A ranger would have been useful.
I think I’ll skip the course for this season and hope they fix the flaws for 2026.
The course was just in really poor condition, and didn't really have much to offer. Bunkers were out of commission, tee boxes were under construction, and one of the holes just had chopped down trees and branches to the left of the fairway. Not well kept to be honest.
Slow greens bunkers are closed. Tee boxes in rough shape. Lots of tree clearing going on. Staff is real friendly and pace of play was fast that day. Price was cheap to play.
Challenging and somewhat rushed outing
We were a group of three, with one relatively new player. We were paired with a single. The person we were paired with wanted a faster pace of play and kept pushing my friends to play faster. We felt pressured and could not enjoy what we thought would be a leisurely Golf outing on a Sunday. In addition, there were many water hazards and undulations, so it was definitely a more advanced course. The greens and fairways were good.
