Good Course for Good Price
This was my first time playing this particular course, one of my companions son lives near Creedmoor told me about it.
Course has more challenges than most courses I’ve played. Not only some water hazards, but higher n lower terrain as well. Additionally, a couple of the holes will really “challenge” your knowledge and expertise with how well you can control your clubs. 😁
I don’t live really close to this course, but it has moved to the top of my list for when I’m traveling to this area.
Very pleasant staff, local members friendly and approachable.
Two Thumbs Up

Nice day!
What a perfect day to play golf. To make it better, my wife played as well. We always have a great time on the golf course. (When it is not to hot or to cold. My wife is what some would call "a fair weather golfer".
Good Course, Good Price
South Granville is slept on. The course was in very good shape. I had played before and it was a massive improvement. Good layout and newly renovated pro shop.
Best I've seen it.
Haven't played here since the manager retired. New manager has made some good improvements. Better club house, nice clean and good selection of product. Course was in excellent condition, in fact the best I've seen it since I've started playing here 3 years ago. Golf carts are also new. Had a great day playing a round of golf. I will be back and will bring my friends.
Great course
No wait play until last two holes. Greens are good and fairways too.
Nice country course
Course is a moderately difficult course with some water, hills and dog leg greens.
South Granville Golf
I arrived at the course about one hour ahead of my tee time, was checked in early and told that I could start in about 20 minutes, which thrilled me, so I could beat some of the heat and humidity. The round went very smooth and I only had to wait twice for the foursome ahead of me. A few wet areas were encountered on the course, which they had marked to avoid. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. For the money, definitely we’ll worth it and would highly recommend to others. The only downside was no food available, other than snacks and drinks.
Good Value
If you need a quiet place to work on your game, or take a child/beginner to play, SH is great. The staff and members are super friendly and juniors essentially play for free. Tee boxes could be more level, and boxes and fairways could be more lush. Was surprised to find that they’ve struggled a bit more this year with the greens (wet spring I assume and will probably come around). In any case - a solid value, great place to practice on-course (while still getting around in 4hrs).
Greens need work. I will play this course again. Very dry. Would be 3 1/2 stars if I could.
Bad Course
Tee Boxes - Uneven.
Fairways - No grass.
Greens - Slow and lots of burnt spots.
Other - Holes were way too close together, almost got hit by wayward tee shots multiple times.
SGCC
I became I’ll over night before tee time
Dad reaction to Covid Booster shot
I asked SGCC for a rain check and they said Golf Now would refund
After several hours of online chatting with Golfnow. I got nowhere
I finally landed a phone number called and explained my problem and the lady said tough luck. They only give refunds when the course is closed
This Golfnow got its share of my tee time money and SGCC got its share and my golf partner and I got NOTHING !
Pretty stupid
And this is not my first time playing SGCC
It is my partner’s and mine favorite course to play. Until now
WHAT. A. EXPERIENCE.
Wow what a day it was out at this hidden gem in Creedmoor, NC. The staff was very friendly even though I’m pretty sure they only had one person working today. The carts were pretty fun, it honestly felt like I was riding around on a 4 wheeler all day. The bunkers were probably the best part on the course, while there was only bunkers around the green, the whole course just felt like a trap anywhere you hit the ball. The course really made me feel like I was back at home in my backyard, while I think my parents did a better job keeping up with grass then this place did. This being considered a country club is a little bit of a stretch. They didn’t even have any beer for sell. If you ever want a once in a life time experience, then this is definitely the place to go. Overall, this is probably a top three course in the area and me and my group have decided that this will be our first and last time ever visiting this area. We ended up paying 22 bucks for 18 and I still don’t think it was worth 4 hours out of my day.
