Westport Golf Course

They have given up...greens bad, fairways full of dirt spots, tee boxes in terrible shape. Just sell and let someone else fix it.

I understand we are in fall season and the leaves are a part of the course. But this course went to far. So there are plenty of trees on this course and under normal conditions a ball in the trees would not equal to a lost ball. However, they have blown all the leaves in a pile located near the trees that came up to your ankles when you stepped in the pile. There has to be a better solution than this and I haven’t seen this done by any other courses. So be aware if you hit it a little left or right go ahead and grab another ball.

I will be back, no driving range is my only disappointment

The course doesn’t look like it has been kept up for years. Greens were tore up, and the fairways were as bad. We had a 10:50 tee time, and when we got to the 1st hole there were three groups waiting to tee off. Poorly ran course.

Played this course for the first time and it was somewhat

challenging. It is a older course but maintained above average.

Nice course with a couple of blind dogleg. Generally in good shape. Helpful staff

Best part were the greens but even they weren’t perfect. Tee boxes need repair and had more broken tees than I’ve ever seen at a course,; the sign of the lack of attention. Carts were ok. Slow players so plan on getting cold a tough the box. For the $37 “Hot Deal” it was too expensive.

Nuff said.

The course is pretty decent but I would not pay full price for it. The pace was very good today so it made for an enjoyable round. The chipping/putting area is not well maintained and there is no driving range.

With most courses in the Charlotte area running $70 - $100 a round, Westport is hard to beat at $35 a round. Tee Boxes are fine, fairways are probably average or a bit below average, but the greens are as good as any other greens in the area. If money doesn't matter, then this course is 3 star, but when you take in the cost of the round. But it's definitely worth the cost of the round.

This course’s layout is different than the other courses in and around Charlotte. A lot of holes require laying up off the tee box in order to make the bend, which is unusual for the courses around here! It was nice to play a different way, it was a nice change of pace. The course overall was in great shape, the ground is just a little hard, but that’s hard to fix. I played in the late afternoon on a weekday so it was practically empty, I would definetly go back!

greens excellent; fairways very good; tee boxes good; rough pretty healthy. Can be a challenge to pick the right club on many holes.
