Improvement Slow Down
It has been a couple of months since I last played the course so I was kind of disappointed in conditions. The fairways were not mowed, bunkers were not raked and had grass growing in them and the greens showed signs of damage. They added markers and targets in the range but hitting area was not mowed so it felt like hitting from the rough. In its current condition it would be hard to recommended to friends.
Cheap Golf in need of Maintenance
Rate was very reasonable. Interesting course with challenging holes however badly in need of maintenance. Greens were okay but fairways loaded with weeds and not much turf. Ok for a quick round. You get what you pay for.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We apologize for the condition of the course and will address these maintenance issues. We hope to see you back at The Pines at Elizabeth City.
Actively Improving Course
I started playing about a year ago, and this is my local course. It’s recently (within the last couple of years) under new ownership after sitting for an extended season. The current leadership is definitely putting money in, redoing the bunkers, adding new bunkers, clearing dead trees, and changing the layouts of some holes. I always have a good time playing The Pines, and I’m excited to see where this course is in a year or so!

Amazing bang for the buck
Can’t get a better deal than this place! Worth the drive from OBX to avoid the ridiculous prices. Greens were in great shape and course was nice and green. Tee boxes need a little work, but not bad!
Very nice course. In very good condition and great value for the money. Nice restaurant / bar area to relax in after a round. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the course.

Players lunch special.
Always enjoy playing this course. Also , My wife a I enjoy a nice cold beer after rounds but was told this special was discontinued. We usually order lunch with the beer but I guess will prob stop getting lunch after rounds. We always looking forward having a cold beer specially after a warm /hot round.

Driver friendly course
Generous fairways with good turf conditions. Premium on approach shots as many require crossing water hazards. Greens were well manicured. Definitely will plan a return trip

Summertime conditions
The course was not bad, although the conditions are summertime golf. Fairways hard and greens not very receptive. Gotta play Texas style golf and roll the ball up by hitting short and how that you don't roll off lol.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting The Pines at Elizabeth City, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Father's Day Weekend
The greens were extremely challenging. Small, and firm, you needed perfect shots to keep the ball on the green.

Pros and Cons
First time I played here I hit my first hole in one and that was awesome. The rest of that round wasnt as cool lol. This time I brought my girlfriend who doesn’t play, she just wanted to come enjoy the weather with me and when we got going towards the first tee box they yelled at me to come back and pay $12 just for her to sit with me. That’s the DUMBEST thing I’ve ever heard. I lost my interest to ever play there after that. The course definitely needs a gps to help find where the heck you’re supposed to go because every hole is right next to the other and the flags are caddy corner in ways. Greens were Sandy from air raid I guess but I had a good time still.
We're happy to hear about your hole-in-one on your first visit with us. We appreciate your feedback and hope to provide a better experience in the future.
We apologize for your experience and appreciate your feedback. We are committed to addressing these issues and improving the course conditions.
