Punched and sanded greens
Course was in great shape, however we play after they had punched and sanded the greens. The sand traps were also rock hard, it had rained the night before but they should have been raked.
Go out of your way to play here
This is one of the best courses I’ve ever played. Literally a gem in the middle of nowhere. Highly recommended.
Excellent
Most healthy course we have played in weeks, great deal for the price. Very good fairway grass and greens well maintained. Stopped on the way home for the beach and we will do it again
Worth it!
A William Byrd design that is clearly worth playing. When you consider what it costs in and around Pinehurst, this course is very good value for money. It was in quite nice shape, a very good routing and some memorable holes, especially the par 3s.
I'll be playing it again soon.
Well worth the drive from Pinehurst
Our Pinehurst group wanted to try a new course this year so we made the drive to Raeford and played Bayonet. It’s a great track with some interesting and challenging holes. Conditions were very good considering the lack of rain. Tees and greens are well maintained. The contour and grain in those greens make it a real challenge. We will be back next year!
Nice Course
Played in February so grass was dormant. Nice layout with large greens that putted true. Was cool and windy but still nice to be outside. Our home state (Vermont). Has a foot of snow on the ground and been extremely cold. Course was dry which was a very nice surprise.
Best golf course in the Fort Bragg/Fayetteville area
Always a great time and excellent conditions even winter months
