About
The Preserve at Verdae sprawls across a lush landscape of rolling hills and meadows covered with beautiful Carolina forests. Formerly known as Verdae Greens, the golf course was completely revamped but one of the primary goals of the renovation was to find harmony between golf and nature. The carefully reworked course does just that, blending seamlessly into its scenic surroundings. Rambling brooks wander across the layout and provide water hazards on a few holes. The wind is also a major factor on this golf course. The breezes can be either light and refreshing or strong and blustery, making proper club selection even more important. The most photographed hole on the golf course is the par-3 second. If you're lucky enough to come when the azaleas are blooming, this hole offers a breathtaking setting.

Golfer Reviews
Would be back . Greens were out if thus world fast
Challenging
The course itself was in great shape from the tee boxes to fairways to greens. Bermuda greens had a lot of subtle breaks. The aesthetics on each hole was not great. Lots of overgrown weeds, but a golf purist who doesn’t care about that would like the course. Range balls were old and picked up from the course. We found that the holes played longer than the yardages from our range finders.
Beautiful and fair
This is a challenging course but fair. Play the tees that suit your driver. I played white/gold since my driver distance is 230 so that fits well. Greens were a little slower than what I am used to but still true
Great Course, Great Value
Great course and good value. I paid $50 for a 5 pm tee time on Sunday evening at 5. It was great. Played by myself and played 18 in about 2 hrs 15 mins.
Great experience! Friendly people!
Clubhouse was friendly. Starter was super friendly and took the time to ask where I was from and about my family. Paired with 3 guys who were buddies. They had played course before and were great and a lot of help since I had never played there before. Tough track. Some holes gimmicky… but not overly. Greens were a little slow, but understandable with the intense heat SC and GA have been getting. But overall very fun and enjoyable day. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the area!!
What happened to the greens
Overall the course was as nice as it has always been. Was refreshing to get a morning tee time on the weekend. Only disappointment was the condition of the greens. Have always felt the greens there fooled beautifully and slightly in the quick side. They were fluffy and ridiculously slow this time, which I’ve never seen. Hope they get back to the way they were soon.
Greens
I understand normal maintenance, the greens were slow. This review Is for that day of my play.. i rated a four star
Excellent course
First I’m greeted with the most pleasant staff, then I get the best advice on the play of the course, since it was my first time visiting. Place of play was up to me the entire round, the course lay out was both challenging and fun. The nineteenth hole had great options to pick from and definitely made the day complete. I especially like time resemblance to a major course. Highly recommend.
Aerification in progress
The course is still great, greens obviously not gonna perform how they should in wet conditions due to the maintenance, hated that part but you just have to play a different way, my second time here and I still love the layout. Pace of play was great but it was a Friday not a weekend. Kinda surprised they don’t have screens on every cart, most places do now. Was able to play as a single which was cool too, first time doing that here. Obviously won’t happen on the weekends. I’d go again
Nice course
I only played the front 9. Staff was super friendly. Turf was well maintained. The greens had been punched recently, but they advised of this, and offered a discounted rate.
Nice, fair layout (a bit tight), but the 8th hole is adjacent to the interstate.
I did not stick around to try out food and drink.
Premier golf course and incredible staff
This is my second time playing the course and unfortunately I played it during the week the greens were being aerated and treated with sand. This made true putting impossible. Due to this, there was a low volume of traffic on the course. The one thing that did surprise me is that the golf carts do not come equipped with a GPS monitor that would give you yardage or scoring. Every course I’ve played seems to have this as a standard feature on their carts. Kind of a letdown.
Verdae is very good!
Great layout for the money and conditions were great.
