Lake of the Woods Country Club

Played 18 holes yesterday and really enjoyed the course. It’s a challenging but fun and very playable layout. Considering the amount of rain, heat, and humidity we’ve experienced over the past several months, the course is in very good overall condition.

The greens are still recovering from the aeration process and appear to be battling some crabgrass and other heat- and moisture-related turf stress. That’s understandable this time of year. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised by how fast and true many of the greens were playing.

Overall, a fun, challenging round on a course that’s holding up well under some tough summer conditions. Definitely recommend giving Lake of the Woods a round! ⛳🏌🏾‍♂️

Enjoyed my round at Lake of the Woods. Had just rained a lot the day before but the fairway grass was really nice to play off of. Nice solid divots which is nice coming from a drier home course. Thick rough in areas which made it challenging and more rewarding for hitting the fairway. Some woods nearby but no insanely tight fairways that I expected from looking at the satellite view beforehand.

Potentially some areas that hold water on the greens that were browning the grass slightly and had a couple weeds but nothing wild.

The course has a nice layout and flow to it. Played the back 9 twice as the front 9 was having renovations done.

I will definitely return.

A wonderful and challenging course. Putting greens were near perfect.

I like LOTW and have played here often. The greens were in great shape but the fairways have much to improve on. Not much grass to hit off of. My other complaint was the foursome that went out right before us. They had never played and would not let us play through. I actually drove my ball past them once and they took my ball. I understand people need to learn but they had zero clue what they were doing as they parked and walked all over the course. Thank goodness they only played nine.

I got lucky and found a Sunday morning tee time at a great price. I was running a little late, but they were very understanding and accommodating. The staff was super friendly, and even though it was my first time playing there, the course was easy to learn and enjoyable to navigate.

They have a few reachable par 4s that made the round really exciting, and the water hazards on some holes added a fun challenge. Even though it’s a public golf course, it’s located inside a gated community. You simply let the gate know you’re heading to the golf course, and they’ll issue you a day pass after scanning your driver’s license.

Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back!

Great course setup, tees, fairways and greens all in pretty good shape for this time of year.

How much money impress the condition of this course is traveling year. Greens are in great condition making pudding smooth and consistent. Fairways are maintained well. Only downside was dealing with the continuously falling leaves if you missed a fairway this time of year.

A little dry… watering was helpful but a little spotty

With using the Hot deal this was a great value, I enjoyed the round and was very pleased with the condition of the course at this time of the year.
