Tough conditions
Some of the traps don’t have any or little sand and nearly all the greens are in poor shape. Otherwise it is an interesting experience.
Wait for Greens to Recover
Lee’s Hill is a great course setup with a lot of challenging holes that force you to keep the driver in the bag off the tee. Unfortunately the greens have taken a big hit. The back greens are in better shape than the front, but overall they’re very patchy and bumpy. Hoping they get them back for next season since this is a fun course to play, especially for the money.
Thursday Golf
I haven’t played the course in quite some time. I really do like the layout. I was just very disappointed in the greens. The pin position was at 3 and I felt like I really could not get an accurate play as the the greens were in bad condition, bumpy with a lot of craters. I will definitely play again but will wait till next season and hope for a better experience
A big miss.
Hard to say anything bad about Lees Hill, typically. This round was far from the conditions I saw over the summer.
Greens are in disarray. Grass all over the bunkers (Not a major deal just unsightly).
On a high note, I'm sure the greens will be under control by the time it warms up again and we will be back.
Perfect Day For Golf
The greens are still in need of a lot of work but the weather, pace of play and staff were all fantastic. Fairways and roughs very acceptable. I will give it another try in a month or so. I would recommend but with caveat.
Fair for the price.
Typical winter green conditions for this price point.
Greens need work
Fairways and tee boxes were in great shape however the greens were in rough shape. Not sure what happened over last several weeks to the greens as they were really good earlier this year. Definitely impacted putting on the day as ball would change directions hard due to the poor green conditions.
Horrible condition
They had an issue months ago where the wrong chemical killed off much of the surface of every green. They have not fixed it yet but still charge a full price. Bunkers are also mostly rocks and pebbles.
Greens
They’ve lost their greens. Going to take a year for them to recover.
Course seems to be in trouble
Greens were almost completely dead. Bunkers were dirt with huge rocks in them.
Overall condition of the course was very poor. $50 was way over priced. Use to be an awesome place to play. Very sad.
A Bit Disappointing
Pace of play was amazing. I assume because nobody wanted to play the course in the condition it was in. Fairways were ok but the greens were unplayable. Still an enjoyable round but not worth the price with the course condition.
Rough Shape
This course has in the past been really good. We played it 8/18/23 and it was abysmal. The greens were in terrible shape, the fairways without grass and the bunkers were unplayable, there was not a single redeeming quality about the course.
Bad shape/ terrible greens
ALL of the greens were ruined by oil or gas apparently dripping from mower or machine . Bald spots same pattern every green . Also, greens are moldy and bumpy not cut smooth. Fairways and tees dirt patches everywhere. . Not worth playing for $50 plus
Terrible greens
The greens are terrible. The condition of the course does not warrant the $47 we paid to play.
Somehow keeps getting worse.
This course is only 15 minutes from me are i would sooner see 45 minutes then to play this dog track. Good layout, friendly staff, course conditions are a joke. This was in decent shape in 21-22 and it seems as though it’s been neglected for quite some time now.
