Carved from Stafford County's rolling, emerald green hills, Augustine Golf Club plays across a scenic landscape abundant with mature pines and hardwoods. The pristine white bunkers and the lush fairways contrast nicely with the trees. The course conveniently sits just 30 miles from the Washington Beltway. In 2011 when the golf course was acquired by Raspberry Golf Management, who are responsible for several courses in the area, Augustine underwent major renovations that increased its playability. The greens, fairways, rough, bunkers, and tee boxes were all redone. The layout offers a challenge but is gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. Included in a round of golf at Augustine are range balls and unlimited use of the driving range, which has different targets and a large putting green.

Terrible Course, Ron Is A Good Guy

Course has a lot of potential but sadly that potential was lost at the design, construction, and maintenance phases. The front nine features a hole (#3) that both requires driver and punishes you if you use it. The first par 5, #4, might have been designed by someone with their eyes closed. The course was totally unprepared for the beginning of the season; the entire surface was so burned out I thought I was on the set of Lawrence of Arabia. The pace of play was abysmal; my friend and I wanted to play 18, but after getting through the first 3 holes in just over an hour we decided to limit our pain to 9 holes. Two hours after that we were in the parking lot. Beginners should not play this course, it is too hard. People who care about golf shouldn’t play this course, it is too bad.

There wasn’t a water jug in sight. No sign of a cart person. Putting on the recently aerated greens felt like playing a game of pin ball. We found a black snake on #7. I was hoping it would put me out of my misery but here I am.

Ron is cool though.

Terrible Greens

Great course layout but they have no business charging above $40 with the conditions of their greens the last few years.

Charged me double

I arrived 30 minutes before my tee time and informed the staff that the other player could not make it. I could not call sooner because no one was there.

They called GoldNow and told them to charge me for a "no show".

This course is not even worth the $80 dollars I paid.

Horrible course conditions and when I called the "staff" member they said it was their policy.

Told them I would never be back.

GolfNow was no help either.

Local muni acts prestige

I live in the community. I spent a lot of money here save yourself the time and energy and go play somewhere else like the gauntlet they charge too much the course conditions are horrendous it never seems to improve and they still charge more than other courses that are much better. It is nothing more than a goat track and cannot be defined otherwise PLEASE save the money you will regret spending a dime at this establishment unless you’ve never played the course will not suit your needs and for the love of God if you see Ron Just make a u turn and go to the gauntlet. I love how they act like the course is still top 100 haha it’s ridiculous

Greens are burnt up, Fairways are patchy at best. Love the layout of the course , but has lots of work that is needed for prices they charge.

Steady decline

I have been playing this course for numerous years and the quality of the course has steadily declined to the point that I don’t know if I’d play it again. While the staff were very nice and did advise of aerated greens before paying, and they did advise that the rates were lower because of that, the course is not worth the money even at that discounted rate anymore. At a normal rate near $70-80, and a discounted rate today of $45, the course conditons are that of a $15-20 course. Every fairway is essentially a dirt pasture with some grass thrown in. Even tee shots in the middle of the fairway, you’ll be hitting out of dirt on approach. The course layout is great and challenging, but I don’t think I’ll go back, especially with a full price rate near $70. And for reference, I played a $20 course in NJ less than a week ago that was in 10x better shape than this course.

Great course layout, very friendly staff. Pace of play was great. But fairways and greens were in terrible condition - worst I've seen at any couse this summer by far.
