James River Country Club

Last year it was 5 stars. This year 4 stars only because 3 times as many ball marks than in 2019. Don't know if this is due to more outings (which I doubt due to COVID) or because members aren't fixing their ball marks. Was told number of rounds is up 60% from 2019. Seems there needs to be a tutorial on the importance of fixing a ball mark. Rest of course was immaculate. Lunch was great. Everyone was very hospitable. Can't wait to play again as I''m from Northern Virginia. Considering out of town membership.

Won rounds at a volleyball banquet. This was easily the best conditioned course I have played this year. Greens rolling true, fairways pristine. The staff was very friendly & professional. Only drawback is you can only hit irons on the driving range. Other than that I can't wait to play this course again! If you ever have a chance to play this course, do so. Not long but tight. You really have to think your way around this course.
