Kempsville Greens
I hadn’t played this course in a couple years. I live in California and visit my grandkids multiple times a year. This time my grandson and I played and it was definitely in rough shape. I can say they were diligently working on the course where trees had come down.
The fairways and greens were rough but the sand traps were ifairly good in places.
It seemed clear that they were working hard to return this course to the condition I remember it to have been in the last time I played it.
The course layout is fun and there are definitely some challenging holes.
I looking forward to checking it out down the road.
Pleasant play
I played KG a lot in the past few years. There have been a few improvements but some of the greens have barely or patched spots. I am sure with some serious rain, the course will recover.
This course is very low price
Visiting from Canada and was looking not to spend a lot of money on golfing. So this was my pick. A nice friendly environment!!
Course nicely laid out
Course is nicely laid out, has a decent variation of fairways and water traps. Course is well maintained, and the staff is very friendly.
Good course with reasonable rates!
The tee boxes need work. The driving range has always been rough. OK to warm up on though. Greens were in pretty good shape.
This course was very fun to play.
To be in the middle of the winter and all the grass being dead, I found the course in a wonderful condition. The layout is pretty easy which for someone who’s shooting in the 90s-100s it’s a great course. There’s nothing special about the clubhouse and the driving range is only about 180 yards and irons only. I will be back. Great bang for your buck.
