I Recommend This Course
One of the Better Options in the Tidewater
Awesome staff, very friendly.
Played on a day after a significant rain the day before. The course was well drained, certainly not firm and fast, but very playable. No standing water, no mud, it was very easy to navigate around.
The course is very good (FYI, I rarely give 5 stars. It takes something really extraordinary for me to rate 5 stars, so 4 is really good). The houses are often visible, the not intrusive and don't really impact play. The par 3s have great variety, ranging from 215 to 138 yards. I always consider it a plus when a course has a par 3 that's less than 150 yards because it takes some risk from the designer to build one that short since most don't "get" holes like that. The short hole is probably the best of the par 3s, even though the 4th hole is the Photo hole. Also great variety in the par 4s, having very long ones (452) and much shorter ones (340). Also a quality mix of par 5s. Certainly a course to play if you get the chance.
