Joseph M. Bartholomew Golf Course

I really enjoy playing this course. Close to my house and very forgiving. Real nice course. I have mention to my friends.

Joseph Bartholemew golf course is a very well maintained course with a very fair price. I love the the location which is about 10 minutes from my house. So I love the convenience and accessible to go and play whenever I feel like. The staff is very hospitable. One of my favorite courses.

Course is good enough for the price. $40 for greens fee and cart isn’t bad at all. Front half of the course wasn’t as well kept as the back half, but overall good enough for the price.

Rough growing in the fairways, greens are like putting on a plinko board.

Smooth cart path, cold water on couple holes, saw Beer cart twice during 18 holes. Bathrooms on front and back were clean. Overall it was better than I expected from New Orleans. Easy to lose balls just off the fairway with the type of grass even though it had been cut recently. Had a good club sandwich at The Who dat party at the back nine lounge.

Course is in terrible shape. It used to be the best deal in town. We have been playing this course every week for over 5 years. But sadly we are being forced to look for another course to play our weekly round. I wish they could fix the problem but the problem seems so large I don’t think the current staff can make it happen.

All of the greens were under repair....I was told that the hot weather “burnt” the greens.

I skipped putting on 16 holes.

The course is really in bad shape. Greens are full of bad areas. Around the greens the collar’s are mostly dirt. If you land short of the greens your ball just dies. Very disappointing. We have been playing this course for many years.

The course was in good shape for the summertime.

Wasn’t crowded at all felt like I had the course to myself.

Had a great relaxing round

I was there yesterday afternoon. It was sunny there. But the course was closed for about an hour simply because there was lightening downtown New Orleans, about 5 miles away from the course. What a funny rule that they impose! Every golfer left except for three teams. Thus after enjoying about an hour, I enjoyed playing alone like my own golf course.

Course was in terrible shape. The rough was extremely long the area around a green seem to be nothing but dirt and weeds that you have to go through to get to the greens. I’ve been playing this course for many many years. It used to be one of the top groomed courses in the area, but as of right now it’s one of the worst it’s sad very sad.

Had a great time on the course and a great time dining at The Back Nine....

Overall, this is a great course, especially for the money. The greens have been hit or miss the last two years, but it seems like they're sliding away. Lots of patches with no grass, and it seems like they're getting worse with all the heat.
