Oaks/Canyon at Blacklake Golf Course
About
Blacklake Golf Resort boasts 27 holes of championship golf that are divided into three nines called the Oaks, Canyons, and Lakes. The nines can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Oaks/Canyons Course is the toughest of the three. The front nine features narrow fairways that wind through mature coastal oaks. If you're not careful, you may find yourself in the woods on this challenging target-style layout. The back nine doesn't get any easier with a layout that tumbles across rolling terrain. With the resort's location on the Nipomo Mesa along California's Central Coast, the elevated tee boxes on the Canyons nine allows for some stunning views. The location also invites refreshing sea breezes. In addition to the three golf courses, there is also a 275-yard driving range available with more than 30 grass and artificial teeing areas as well as three putting, chipping, and pitching greens.

Golfer Reviews
I love playing the course in the Winter! Best bang for the buck
I love playing the course in the Winter! Best bang for the buck. It holds up well to the rain. The areas that dry out in summer are in better shape. They had just punched the greens, that was the only issue.
Rundown and poorly maintained
Ok layout but very poorly maintained. Overpriced. Too many much better courses in area to waste time and money here.
Very pleasant round!!
Good pace of play, course was pretty wet especially the green because of heavy overnight marine layer.
Condition
The course was in good shape. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for condition was because a lot of the greens needed more TLC
Thanks to Colby for operating the course so well.
O.S.U.
Concert parking
They had a concert and parked cars on hole one of the Canyons coarse.
This was not disclosed when booking.
Great variety of holes
I like the course and most of the greens are in good condition exceeding those at nearby Rancho Maria and Avila Beach. The staff, especially the young lady named Clairissa are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Perhaps the best in the area and right up there with those working at nearby Monarch Dunes golf course. I would like to see the fairways cut shorter and the cups locations changes more often. Overall very good place to play golf.
Blacklake on a sunday
Fun but slow group in front of us. Marshall followed us for a few holes. Never told group ahead of us about pace or multiple tee shots on every hole. Fun course. Good value
Affordable round in Nipomo!
Blacklake has a cool layout. The greens are pretty smooth but play a little slow. The tee boxes and fairways need mowing and grooming. Lots of duff left on the fair way fringes. Some challenging and rewarding holes! The clubhouse had good food, music and relaxed vibes. Overall great experience and worth checking out.
Course has potential but in very poor shape.
Actually a nice layout and several well designed holes. However, course in total disrepair. Clover in fairways and un-mowed tees. Greens better than rest of course but still well below average. Too many much better options in the area. Very disappointing
Poorly maintained
The entire course lacks routine maintenance/mowing, some tee boxes were mostly dirt..
Slow pace of play.
Practice area was closed & putting green was in rough shape.
Beautiful trees and great course
Tall trees really creat a beautiful landscape and you need to shape your shot to get through.
