About
The golf course at the Union Hills Country Club is a championship course with a traditional layout. The course has been named one of the Top Ten Private Courses in Arizona. The design features four lakes and two winding creeks that create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. There are also several sand bunkers present. Some of the golf course's greens are elevated and the fairways are average sized in width. The signature hole is the par-4 14th hole, which requires a carry over water. Union Hills Country Club also has a putting green and full driving range for golfers to use.

Pace of play issue
Played the course many times over the last several years - almost always on a Saturday. Took about an hour and a half to play the first four holes. Apparently there's a Saturday league that plays every weekend now. Was not aware of that. Nice people but woeful pace of play. Been playing golf 46 years. Can count on one hand the number of times I had to pick up and walk off because of something like this. Today was one of those days.

Fairway were like playing on dirt.. restaurant closed way to early. Greens were like putting on dirt. This time of year they should water more
Great course
It’s was the slowest game I ever played. But course and condition were really good
Pace of play is unacceptable
Ranger hanging out to by the club house but didn't come out on the course once. Over 5 1/2 hr round is unacceptable
Course conditions could be better
Title says it all. Fairways in poor conditions on front end.
Close to home
This use to be my go to course in winter time when prices increase. This year was the first time that I couldn't do that. I am not a fan of later tee times, this course has a lot of walker in the afternoon which can slow the pace and your rhythm. Overall staff is great. Course is always on playable shape. Warm up amenities are nice.
Another course I kept reading about the improvements, I didn't see any. Considerably worse than the last time I played here last winter.. Still have astroturf on one par 3 tee. Won't be back.

Course is very dry and hard. hard to put a tee in the ground. The carts are the main problem as they restrict from so many places. not good for older people.
Hidden Gem
Nice layout, water features to enjoy ( not hinder)and wide fairways.. Definitely will golf here again

from the clubhouse to the greens. good friendly people, fresh tee boxes, average-above average fairways to above average greens. ball washers abound, nice comfortable electric carts, fresh cold water on the course. all this for probably the best price in the west valley. need more courses to copy what union hills has
Great course
Union Hills is consistently a fun course to play. Staff are friendly, check-in is quick, the club announcer noticed we were on the tee and respectfully asked us to wait for a single to join us. We had a terrific round! The course is in perfect condition. A good challenge for me, a 15 handicap
