North Golf Course at Sun City
About
Located just south of Grand Avenue in Sun City, Sun City North Golf Course's trademarks are the doglegs and large trees that are present throughout the course. It has many other challenges to offer including plush, elevated greens and numerous sand bunkers. Placid ponds also create water hazards that come into play on two holes. The well-maintained course is relatively flat with plenty of shade, making it enjoyable to walk. The Sun City North Golf Course facility has several amenities including a putting green and chipping area. There is also a fully stocked pro shop and full service grill and deli.

Disappointed
I arrived at 1:58 for a 2pm tee time. Sure I should’ve been there earlier, but the staff member told me that I was late and unable to play. After pointing out that there were two gentlemen that appeared like they may have just started their round she agreed to let me play. Her attitude was terrible and I expected more. Very disappointing.
The fairways were in poor condition. There was a lot of dirt, where there should have been grass.
Sun City North - Interesting Layout
The fairway and green conditions on the front 9 were lacking. Lots of dirt and spotty greens. The back 9 was significantly better and in good shape.
Still fun to play with an interesting layout with back to back par 5’s and a par 5 finishing hole.
Will play again
Sad accomodation
Few benches, No obvious water on a hot day.
Sparse grass everywhere.
Horrible customer service
Worst customer service I’ve ever had at a golf course. Steer clear
Pretty ok course but overpriced
$60 for the round then $21 for a half cart then $5 for a measly 20 range balls. I could have played a course like copper canyon for that kind of money. Also, they would not give me the cart until 30 min prior to my tee time! So, I had to lug my clubs to the range and then had to remind them to give me a cart. The round was fine, great group of guys, pace of play was good. Still doing 90 degree with carts even though the course was rock hard, really. Obviously I was not happy with this round.
Golf now
Common knowledge that the golf courses in Sun City and Sun City West do not like golfers using Golf Now for tee times and they overcharge for carts and beverages.
Ptice
$42 for a cart for 2 people is excessive.
$4 for small bottle of Gatorade. Is excessive.
Seemed to gouge the "snowbirds".
Sun City North
The greens at every Sun City course I’ve played are quick, firm and smooth. Playing Sun City North requires, due to the firm Fairway conditions, a slightly different approach. For example, golf balls run out, especially low shots, so keep that in mind.
I appreciate the value!
Not sure what the logic is behind overseeding tee boxes & greens on the front 9 & overseeding tee boxes, fairways & greens in the back 9. Makes for totally different playing conditions from one side to the other. Might be ok in 3 weeks when everything is cut down to normal playing conditions. Probably my least favorite Sun City course
