Eagle Glen Golf Club

It took 3 hours to finish 9 holes last Saturday. We left after the 10th hole. I don’t know why there were no marshals speeding up play up there. Great course

But pace of play needs to be attended to.

We had 6 carts on hole 5, waiting at least 20 minutes to tee off. Then we get to hole 13 and find out the group in front of us has 3 open holes ahead of them. Didn’t see a Marshall all day. The cart girl came around plenty though. Shoutout to them. Course desperately needs a Marshall.

Eagle Glen is always our top golf course to play. Course layout and condition is good. Staffs are friendly. But the play is very slow. I think part of it has to do with teeing groups too close together with time spacing within 5 minutes. Also, the starter person needs to understand golf course management and needs training. Of course most starter and marshals on golf courses around here are retirees and volunteers. We checked in with him 15 minutes before our tee time and watched him teed off 3 groups (4/3/2) prior to us. We are a two (2) persons group. We were followed by a group of 3. I asked the starter if he wants us to played with the group of two in the front and he says no. I knew it going to be a slow play day. After two holes we took the initiative to ask the 2 persons group ahead of us if we could join them. It significantly reduce our wait time and made it a little more bearable. Again it goes back to the starter staff able to better manage the groups. It took 3 hours to play the front 9. That is ridiculous for any golf course at any time during the day.

This course is absolutely beautiful. In great shape, greens were a little slow due to a little overwatering after being punched. Starter said they are usually much faster. Lots of intimidating holes with carries over ravines. Played a little slow at times due to a shotgun tournament. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Course is in bad shape and not just from the heat. Overwatering and the mowers for the greens left the area behind 2 greens unplayable. Most fairways have large bare spots. This is a course I’ve played many times and this is the worst I have seen it. Think I’ll wait a year before I play it again.

The only plus was the staff is great and the clubhouse has great service and good food.

This course use to be if not the best in Southern California but one of the best,, but with the conditions and fairways all dry,, it makes it impossible to have a good and exciting round!!! They rip us off with our hard earn money

I like this course. It's technical.. It'd be nice if punched greens were indicated when you book, but oh well.

The problem is the pace of play. The group ahead was 4 young guys partying it up, discussing golf methods, taking multiple shots and one trying to explain to mom when he's be home. I started at 1:09 and it was setting 6:30 when we finished.

Quickly becoming a favorite course for Sure the Layout is a Nice Challenge but its definitely Managable, and you cant go wrong with the afternoon tee times

6 hour round on a Wednesday. Solo booked but had to ride with a random. Always get my own cart when I come here. Don’t book unless your ready for 5+ hours

My time slot was 325 on a Sunday. Apparently hat is the time the beginners play. I fully understand everyone has to start somewhere but as a golf course and with them knowing this( they should assign a marshal for those times to keep pace of play moving. It took over 1hr to finish 1 hole!!

I didnt get past hole 2 before leaving, going to Glen Ivy and finishing in 3 hours.

I live in Connecticut but visit my daughter who lives in Irvine. I love playing Eagle Glen every time I come to visit.
