Hidden Valley Golf Club

I like this course and plan tio play or more often. the first time I played it rained. It was much more enjoyable in the sunshine.

It does require good ball placement, meaning I lose several balls. 😀 the 2 groups ahead of us were a bit slow but not a big deal.

The carts could use some work. I had to really pound the brake to get it to engage, and on this course you need that brake fully engaged. I won't be surprised if a cart break falls and runs into a ravine someday.

For the money I think it's a good value.

Didn't like paying full price for temporary greens on the best 2 holes on the course.

Course views are dope, fairways were great shape.

The layout is fun and challenging

Tee boxes need work, every tee shot was uneven.

But then again if you like hitting off sloped lies, this is the place for you. Course is tough due to all the slopes.

If you play, don’t play after 1. It gets super windy up there

Unfortunately right now the cool par 3 on 16 is down

Not sure for how long. So the fun dog leg right on 15 is turned into (2) par 3s which was kinda lame.

I’d play again but not til 16 is back up.

This is fun course, some challenging holes and some easy straight away holes. Alot of the greens has fungus that make them patchy. I will return again.

Have played here many times. Love the layout. Finally par on the first hole!

Always a great time at Hidden Valley. The young man at check in was super pleasant. Lil Miss Crawford, the cart girl is so pleasant and always right on time. Heads up, bunkers all over are getting a refresh, not an issue for me, I love seeing courses putting money back into the place. Greens and nice and the layout is challenging. Elevation changes and ravines to mess with your head.

Our round was super slow today, not the norm, and no Marshall out there till we called it in. 5:40 to finish was rough.

This course is one of my go to courses. I would rate it as a 5 star WHEN in prestine conditions. Currently 2 holes had temporary greens due the reconstruction and a lot of the bunkers are being refilled with white sand. Also the greens are pretty beat up, people don't fix their ball marks and some had some kind of fungus. It's still a decent course right now but within 6 months to a year, it should be tip top again unless weather conditions hinder progress.

Greens are pretty bumpy and patchy. Multiple temporary greens. I love this course but it’s in rough shape right now. I’d wait 3-6 months to play here.

Tee boxes were horrible super thick grass feet sunk tees not long enough to stick, rough needs to be cut crab grass with tee box , greens super bumpy

The course layout is very nice and exciting. I have played it many times, but this time the T boxes were really bad, and the Greens were shaggy and very slow. I have to say there is lots of construction going on, and they are improving the whole course.

Haven't played this course in a while. Booked through the app. It did not specify they were doing work on Holes 10 & 11on the app yet charged fill price. After the round manager was gracious to offer half off on my return round.

Played on 09/10/26 and GolfNow, the Pro Shop and Marshall failed to mention all of the course construction. Hole 10 is a par 3 with a temporary green and hole 11 is a shortened par 4 with the tee box in the middle of the fairway. Pretty ridiculous that we were charged full price and weren’t even advised of the condition.

Had an opportunity to play this course on a Sunday where there was heavy rain that lightened up by the time we finished the 4th hole.

The driving range for the course is essentially hitting into a hill that has yardage markers, but it does the job. The practice putting green is pretty spacious and the greens and is fairly reflective of how the greens during the round will play.

The staff is pretty chill but are extremely rigid on their policies. May not always result in the best customer service, but at the end of the day, they're just doing their job.

The course is easily one of my favorite layouts in California. There are plenty of photo worthy views on the course, especially the tee box on 13. The back tee box for the second hole is no longer accessible, so aside from that needing to be updated, everything else to the scorecard is accurate. They're in the middle of renovating their fairway bunkers, which used to be a detractor for the course; but I'm hoping that upgrade won't result in too steep of a change in green fees moving forward.

There are plenty of places on this course where you can lose your ball, so having some general control over your ball flight and shot patterns is a must. Once on the greens, there is no guaranteed two putts as the greens tend to roll on the much slower side (maybe between a 5-7) and are fairly bumpy.

Prior to this round, I've never had a round that took place in less than 5 hours. The heavy rain could have helped us finish just past 4 and 1/2 hours this time.

Overall, I would recommend this to a friend or anyone visiting the area.

Your course has 2 holes under construction. There was no warning that we were getting 16 holes rather than the standard 18.

Your salesman at check in was extremely rude saying that we didn’t need to put the news on our website
