18th Hole Photo submitted by skyplus on 02/10/2013
Ground repair day
Seems like every hole had greenskeepers today.
Starting off the round with hole 1. There was a team of guys tearing up the tee boxes forcing you to play from the front tee. Then hole 4 as I’m about to hit, the greenskeeper pulls the flag and proceeds to water the green. Hole number 5 green needs to be replaced completely it’s the same every time I play here. Hole 8 was the same story with a guy mowing the fairway and another on the green. On hole 9 another team tearing up the tee boxes. Range closed. Pro shop guy said for another month. No cart girl present. Would not recommend in its current state. Played on 3/24/26 at 11am for $75 green fee.
Amazing course
I love the views of this course and playing here every time. Pace could be a little better but it’s an amazing course.
Nice course and Layout.
pace of play was pretty good and course was in ok shape.
Glen Ivy Golf
Pace of play was really slow for a Wednesday morning. 5hr round is way too long. No Marshall to move the slower groups a long. Greens were in fair shape with some being in poor condition. Driving range was closed and seems to be the normal theme when I play there. I think the course is over priced at $92 for weekday with the course conditions and no amenities like driving range, cart girl, etc. Glen Ivy used to be a prime course, but seems to have gone downhill in the past few years.
Great course, BUT!
I really enjoy this course and most of its facilities! BUT, the golf cart alerts are definitely too annoying! We were playing and keeping up with the group ahead of us, often waiting patiently for them to move safely ahead! While the whole time receiving alerts from the golf cart to pick up the pace!!!! Often times the alerts included loud beeps. This was quite annoying and distracting! I get it, keep pace with the group ahead! If the player assistants would do their job and politely speak with slower groups, it would be a much more pleasant round of golf! Instead all players become irritated with constant distracting alerts, which the players can do nothing about! Have fun out there!
Love Glen Ivy, But the Leaves Made It Tough
We really enjoy playing Glen Ivy Golf Club — it’s a great course and always a fun round. That said, the leaves along the sides of the fairways were brutal this time. Heaven help you if your ball rolls just off the fairway, because with that many leaves you’ll never find it again. I know this is probably a seasonal challenge and we haven’t had this issue other times of year, but it would be awesome if they could find a better way to keep those areas cleared.
Also, the greens seemed to be in noticeably rougher shape than I remember from past visits.
Overall though, still a great course and one we enjoy playing.
Still has some work to do to get back to the Trilogy Days
Haven't played here in a couple years because the conditions were so bad before. They have made some improvements, but there is still a lot of work to do. The #5 green can't seem to grow. The fairway and rough have like 4 different types of grass, if it is even growing in the area. Pace of play was close to 5 hours with no cart girl or Marshall to speed up play. $90 seems a lot for a muni type course.
incredibly slow play
after waiting on every shot except putting we decided to skip holes and move ahead from the eigth hole. We drove past every hole from 8 to 18 with no open holes. some holes had 3 groups on them. no marshal to speed up pace of play. Will never return to this course. We completed 8 holes....what a waste of time and gas...
Not a goat track, but close.
Had read multiple reviews about how the course was in “mic better shape.” Well, if this is better shape, I’d hate to see what it used to look like
Fairways were patchy with crab grass. Rough was over grown and inconsistent. Thebonto bright spot were the bunkers which oddly had great sand in them.
Several greens looked like the grass was sick and some had dirt patches near the greens.
Place of play was close to 5 hours with pro shop sending people out in what seemed like 5 min stacks.
Finishing hole is nice but sort of a gimmick. For 120 bucks I’d rather have played an LA municipal.
Great place to golf with friends or family
Was lucky to play with awesome gentlemen James & Kirby.
This course is bit of distance yet one of well kept/maintained course and spectacular 18th hole with a breathtaking view. Some holes are hard to predict as there are ponds and trees hidden or blocking. I will definitely come back in the future.
