El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Need a Marshal
Only got thru 13 holes in 5 hours and had to bail for work. Sooooo slow and no marshals speeding things up.
Need Marshall doing Job and Staff
Played Saturday afternoon and took 1 hour to play first 3 hole due to SLOW play of golfers 4 some - sharing bag and no sense of golf edict- had Marshall stop and actually take a swing with person in my group and told to talk to group in front of us but did not but complain about doing the Marshall job. Why are you even there ? Had extra player join us on 8th hole because part of local college team that played there but didn’t have tee time. GM is coach so said can do whatever- might want to look at the details of staff working. Beware
Great greens
The course was in good shape. Several creeks made it challenging and aesthetically pleasing.
Chef Love
Course in good shape, greens roll true. Pace of play a little slower than normal.
Angry Man
I’ve played El Prado several times but this is only my second time playing Chino Creek. The layout wasn’t very long but still challenging. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. A couple of the greens were a bit shaggy but nothing to complain about. My only complaint was Angry Man. Random golfer I got paired with started off cursing himself on the 3rd hole and got progressively worse from there. Throwing clubs and his push cart. He finally left after hole 13/14, whatever was the second par 3 on the back. Really nice course and I didn’t shoot that band even on a windy SoCal day!
Couse in good shape
Would play again. But they need to space out play a little better
Good conditions
The Chino Creek side was in surprisingly great shape this time around. The fairways were much greener than usual, and the greens were firm and well-maintained. You can definitely tell some TLC has been put into the course recently—especially around the greens.
I’ve honestly avoided this course in the past due to its condition, but this visit changed my perspective. Overall, it turned into a really enjoyable day out there. Hopefully they keep moving in this positive direction and continue making improvements.
The driving range was also looking great—lush and green—and it’s one of the few spots where you can still hit off real grass, which is a huge plus in my book.
Keep it up, Prado! Great job.
This course has great features
It is a great golf course where you can play comfortably.
Course
The fairways are well maintained and very open very good course to olay
Very nice course and layout
Although they had just punched the greens the conditions were really good we thought. Fairways nice, greens will problem be once the level back out from being punched but the traps need work. So avoid them! Haha. The food was really good. Had the Bulgogi chicken and fried rice. We were to play the river course but under the suggestion of the pro shop switched courses. They said it was wide open. We never waited or held anyone up. Really fun day except the heat. Was around 95 out. This was a road trip stop. But we will play it again if it’s on our route in the future.
Prado chino creek.
Great course , always fun.
Greens on chino creek were fast and well manicured.
Fairways are always a tough one. Some days they are soft and some days they are firm .
This day they were very firm.
Pace of play was very slow with people piling up in front and behind us
