El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

El Prado
Nice day at El Prado Chino course. Greens were in good shape; tee boxes were in great shape (Blue tees) we enjoyed our round.
Hang on to your Rang Finders!!
This course will suit your needs for a last-minute booking or a local round of golf, but don't expect anything special. Overall, it's just an average course.
I can see that efforts are being made to improve the greens, but it doesn't help much if players aren't repairing their ball marks. The fairways are decent but could definitely use some TLC. The worst part of the course has to be the cart paths—they're muddy, uneven, and extremely bumpy. They're honestly horrible, so hold on to your rangefinders!
And let's talk about the bunkers. You can rake dirt all day, but it still won't turn into sand. From a distance, they look fine, but once you're in them, it's like hitting off concrete.
As I mentioned, this course will satisfy that last-minute golf craving, but overall, it's just average. Good luck!
Greens
The greens were a little on the fast side but it was fun, and we played in just over four hours, wish it was always like that.
time to golf
Great course to begin with ! Currently May and the greens are great , fast and still hard to read sometimes. Can’t wait to get back out there this season.
Worth the holiday hit deal
Hot Deal at about $50 on Memorial Day.
Expected it to be busier and slower than it actually was. Greens are running nice. Rest of the course conditions were above average. No complaints at that price.
Too slow
Pace of play was too slow, cart patch’s are bumpy and chopped up and not enough signs or markers to know where things are located. Never play here again
We came back
After a frost delay that left us with no tee time due to players waiting 2+ hours and management canceling my 8:45 tee time for players that didn’t look at the weather and management thinking we would wait for them to all go first we had to give them another try. It took 3 years to forgive the idiot in charge the 36 hole course actually grew some grass and it was a great day with our stop at the cafeteria that was long overdue with great food. Hopefully that fool was fired and we will give the Butterfield course a look next time…
