El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Greens were in Great shape.
Early tee time, fairways, greens and tee boxes were in great shape. Pace of play was superb, played on the day after 4th so price was a little higher than usual at this track, but other than this, very good round.
Conditions
This course is a fun layout but conditions are horrible I’ve never seen so many squirrels in my life and they are completely tearing up the fairways and cart paths.
Also the bunkers aren’t bunkers I wouldn’t even consider them “sand traps” it’s more of like a dirt trap
It’s extremely hard and I chipped my wedge on one of the thousands of rocks inside the “bunker” so keep it fun and just have you and your buddies do a free drop if you go in the bunker
The People Make the Course.
Great group of friendly young people working at the course. My Cart ran out of battery charge and they quickly came out with another cart. I love playing El Prado during twilight when there aren't many players. One of the few grass driving ranges in the area.
Better each time I have played it lately
They are investing money into this course and it show's! The tee boxes, fairways and greens are the best I have ever seen them by far. The ruff is adequate for a public course. Cart paths need attention. Grass driving range is a huge plus. In this area in the summer, a cooler on the cart would be a huge plus.
El Prado
Nice day at El Prado Chino course. Greens were in good shape; tee boxes were in great shape (Blue tees) we enjoyed our round.
Hang on to your Rang Finders!!
This course will suit your needs for a last-minute booking or a local round of golf, but don't expect anything special. Overall, it's just an average course.
I can see that efforts are being made to improve the greens, but it doesn't help much if players aren't repairing their ball marks. The fairways are decent but could definitely use some TLC. The worst part of the course has to be the cart paths—they're muddy, uneven, and extremely bumpy. They're honestly horrible, so hold on to your rangefinders!
And let's talk about the bunkers. You can rake dirt all day, but it still won't turn into sand. From a distance, they look fine, but once you're in them, it's like hitting off concrete.
As I mentioned, this course will satisfy that last-minute golf craving, but overall, it's just average. Good luck!
Greens
The greens were a little on the fast side but it was fun, and we played in just over four hours, wish it was always like that.
time to golf
Great course to begin with ! Currently May and the greens are great , fast and still hard to read sometimes. Can’t wait to get back out there this season.
Worth the holiday hit deal
Hot Deal at about $50 on Memorial Day.
Expected it to be busier and slower than it actually was. Greens are running nice. Rest of the course conditions were above average. No complaints at that price.
