The 18-hole Forest Lake Golf Club in Ocoee, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1994. Designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton, Forest Lake Golf Club measures 7221 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 133 and a 74.6 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Forest Lake is a natural design devoid of much man-made artifice(if you can discount the highway). This championship, "pure golf" experience has "no houses" - just trees, natural lakes and lush green turf. Always maintained at tournament quality, this Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design is one of Orlando's top daily fee courses. Forest Lake Golf Club has five sets of tees with fair landing areas and approaches. The greens are large and undulating, planted with a unique dwarf grass that enhances the speed and roll of putts. A must play! Forest Lake is easily accessible from the Disney area and International Drive via Florida's Turnpike and 429.
This course has been built in an impressive, stylish manner among the fields and woods of Ocoee.

Great Day for Golf
This is a nice place to enjoy with friends. The course was great and the staff was very friendly.
Worst Course I’ve played in Central Florida
As having played most courses in Central Florida I figured I’d give Forest Lake a try.
Disappointing experience from start to finish. The driving range was in complete disarray — not what you’d expect when trying to warm up for a round. To make matters worse, t-shirts are apparently permitted on the course. That alone signals a lack of standards that serious golfers will find off-putting.
Pace of play was the real killer. We got stuck behind a slow threesome that held up every single hole with zero urgency. No ranger anywhere on the course to step in and keep things moving. A round that should have taken under four hours dragged on considerably longer with no relief in sight.
I can’t recommend Forest Lake to any serious golfer. Until they address the driving range conditions, enforce a proper dress code, and actually staff a ranger to manage pace of play, there are far better options in Central Florida.
Old School Cool
First and foremost the staff was fantastic and very professional. Course wasn’t too busy but they found a twosome that was ready to go. Course has some rough spots, but easily overlooked by the “Old School “ shot makers layout. Definitely was hitting from the wrong tee’s, but used every club in bag. As a senior player this course is a must play. Putting it on my go to courses. Smoked my drive on 18 and drained a long birdie putt to finish.
Not great
Very slow 5 hour Saturday afternoon round. The ranger came by twice but didn’t do anything to improve pace. Course is in mediocre condition. Some tee boxes void of grass, lots of very tight lies.
Not worth the $70. $45 more like it

The course is in great shape, maybe it needs a little work on the tee boxes, but other than that, it's great at this moment

Layoit was great, rough and fairways need some work, greens were ok
Course and experience was amazing over all staff was amazing.
Only downfall to this course was the old people who feel entitled as if they were apart of a country club hitting into me and my wife yelling at us while we were tee’ing off and even putting telling us to hurry up that we aren’t good enough to play at this course we should try booking a less busy course where people play on the same crappy level as us….. mind you I shot a 98 on this course from the blues….
Not great
This place has a lot of potential. The greens weren’t good. They had poa growing on them. The fairways were in ok condition. When you got off of the fairways it was covered in weeds. The par 3 tee boxes were uneven. All in all just a mediocre central Florida course.
Overpriced
The course is $20+ more than last winter. No overseed. Greens were good but tees fairways and areas around green looking rough. Took close to 5 hours. If wasn’t hot deal would have been much worse

Fun course
First time at this course and will definitely come back. Overall in good condition. Greens rolled true, fairways and tee boxes in good shape. A lot of fairway bunkers and rolling hills. Even though it’s mostly wide, it’s still a challenging course due to the layout.
Staff was friendly and the course is a fair price for what you get 👍🏻
Forest Lake
Great practice facility. Fair and challenging course, greens ran pure. Excellent practice facility. Interesting note: the par 3 16th yardage reads incorrect yardage on the cart gps and and the golf apps. It’s about 50 yards longer than what the card indicates.

The reason that the 16th green yardage is incorrect is because they had to build a new green and tee area last year after severe flooding destroyed the previous green. After about a year the water has receded and you can now see what is left of the old green in a natural state short of the new green.
