Stoneybrook West Golf Course
About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Won't go back
Really not playable - when do they release the goats?
SBW
Layout is great. Conditions are poor. Bunkers need work. Fairways and rough need TLC. Greens are bumpy due to new grass flowering. One of my go to courses, as it is close to own. I hope it returns soon to its former glory. Will keep playing it for the right price.
Review
Pace of play was horrible. 5 hr 15 minutes
Nowhere to go as every hole was backed up
Not an overly difficult course and most people were playing the red tees which you would think would speed it up a bit. But Florida golf can be slow as many seniors need 4-5 shots to get to the par 4’s and 5’s. Then watching constant 3-4 putts compounds the problem. Play early and you might have a chance.
Awful day at Stoneybrook West
From beginning to end....... everything was bad! We mistakenly arrived an hour and 30 minutes early (not a hot deal). I asked the attendant if we could get out early. The answer came quickly. No. Not maybe, not we will see, just no. We were a twosome and watched other twosomes tee off. Play was extremely slow. After 4 hours we still had 6 holes to play. The course is very well laid out. The frost and drought have burned up the grass and Poanna has made the greens pinball machines. Hopefully it will return to playable after warm weather and rain return
Course is in very bad shape
Greens ran fast, but full of outside growth and didn't roll very true. This course is a great layout, but it needs a lot of work

Love the layout. Greens are okay. Bunkers, fairways and areas around the greens need TLC.
The price says it alll
If you’re looking to get out and hit some balls, this is the place for you. Fairways and greens were in rough shape. For the price you can’t complain, just don’t expect anything great.
For the price it’s what you would expect. Layout and course design is nice. If you’re looking for a deal this isn’t bad.
Bad set of circumstances
The course was overbooked we were asked to start other than the first hole this did not go well of course no one has control over other players because we had to team up with other golfers the day went from bad to worse BUT the staff was wonderful
Florida
Course was dry but it has been a drought down in Florida. They try to keep fairways watered and greens. A little beat up but was ok. A lot of hidden water shots or where ball runs to the water. They always pair you up with people I guess busy but sometimes like to play just together. Got a deal so it’s fine. I honestly wouldn’t pay more. Small bag of bald for $10 is not worth it. Pretty expensive and driving range could use filling in at the tees.
Stonybrook wedt
At this time the course is in bad shape - recent bad weather is a factor but fairways are extremely dry and the greens are in terrible shape
Weeds
Weeds everywhere……little grass in fairways……difficult to find a decent lie anywhere. Greens were in good shape with the exception that they were rock hard.
Won’t play again.
Ohio winter golf
Nice layout greens fast and run true.. fairways are short cut and hard. It is winter so ..
Going back Monday to play again.
