About
The Links at Bodega Harbour is conveniently situated along the Sonoma County Coast, only an hour from San Francisco and two hours from Sacramento. Its location perched above the Pacific also provides stunning ocean views. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.in 1978, the back nine was the original course before the front nine was added nine years later. Jones designed a traditional Scottish links layout complete with rolling fairways and fast, undulating greens. There are almost 100 bunkers strategically situated throughout as well as thick patches of native coastal rough that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The golf course is not long but it requires both skill and strategy. The final three holes are not only the most challenging, they also boast the most breathtaking views.

Golfer Reviews
Beautiful challenging but fair course
I was lucky to have 70 degree overcast weather and a 5 mph breeze first time playing. 1st hole is one of the most indimating starts I have ever played! Was wondering after a few if there was ever going to be anything but an uphill hole...lol . Eventually you get bored of the bay/ocean views every single hole... The greens were quick but held very well and overall conditions were absolutely amazing. Great indilations and shelves on the greens that were a challenge. Definitely had to be creative with choosing lines and chip shots. If you can't tell, I had a blast. I am an upper 70's golfer and was very happy with a 87 for a first play. In the top 5 of my favorite courses ever between the layout, conditions and the views. I can only imagine how tough it would be with the usual coastal winds that I did not have. The pro shop, snack bar and cart attendant were all extremely genuine and friendly. I am not a fan of red carpet generic custom service. I did have a problem booking through GolfNow which I have used for 10 years and the rate and tee time were honored on both ends . Small hiccup to an absolutely wonderful day of golf. I highly recommend this course and overall experience. Will 100% recommend and try to return in the future. I got lucky not having a windy day but I will be expecting it next time. There were 2 holes that cost me a few strokes as a first time player hitting blind shots - I would consider them janky holes. Other than that, it's a great Pete Dye championship fun, fair and challenging course. Enjoy!
Great course, conditions, staff
Being from Texas, I came across this course a couple of months ago while on business trip. Knew I had to play it next trip and I did. It did not disappoint. I tee’d off solo just after 1pm and had a great experience. Upper 60s in August temperature. Greens are quick, downhill putts definitely need accuracy. Fairways are beautiful. Fog rolled in on a couple of holes. Saw deer on two holes. Loved this course. Scenic, peaceful, great conditions & pace.
Great course
I had a wonderful time playing the course. I met a nice couple with the same last name as me. When the wind came in on 14, it made it very difficult to get pars.
Over booked...on a Tuesday morning
Been coming here for 30 years. I will come back, hopefully. This time I could only handle the first five holes before I pulled the plug on what would have been a plus five hour round. Wind was down. Yet, tracking a white golfball in a dense white marine layer was not something I would generally recommend. As I started with, I will be back....with an eye on weather forecasts and populated advanced booking every 10 minutes.
Great Views
Nearly every hole has a view of the ocean and the course is amazing. Combine these and great weather and you have an incredible day!!!
Bodega Bay golf links
A true Scotland Highland golf lynx experience in every aspect including the weather and the terrain and the views.
Absolutely loved the experience.
Bodega Bay Golf Ecperience
Course was a challenge but excellent service and hospitality. Golfing was fun and the experience was amazing. Lucky for the awesome weather. Service was second to none!
Hidden gem on the ocean
Wow! This course was a blast! Unbelievable ocean and bay views on almost every hole. A little tight with houses on both sides to start, but fair. First four holes pretty tough, but enjoyable. We played on a golf now hot deal, but this course is worth over $100 just for the lay out. Staff was great, explaining the environment sensitive area on two holes. Can’t say enough about being able to play holes along the ocean views. Really cool course, we were traveling wine country, an it was well worth the 1 hour drive. Thanks for a great time.
Greens Too Slow
Appears that thatch is building up on greens. You can rub your hand against the grain and see that the grass is longer than it should be and pressed down. Need to de-thatch greens and get the speed up. Uphill putts and putts against the grain were very very slow. Otherwise the course is great. Course plays longer than its yardage because fairways are very soft and you get no roll out off of drives.
Fun day on the Links!
Enjoyed a nice day at Bodega. Challenging course in fine condition. A little course knowledge can go a long ways here! Hope to play it again soon!
Bodega Bay
Great course , narrow in the front a few blind shoots you can score if ball stays in the short grass fun greens .
