The Links at Everline
About
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Everline Resort & Spa is a delight not only for its great golf, but for its history and scenic qualities, as well. In fact, the Audubon Society has certified the Everline Resort & Spa as a Cooperative Sanctuary due to its commitment toward natural greens-keeping methods.
Nestled in a scenic valley with protected wetlands, the Everline Resort & Spa gives golfers an outstanding day on the links, combining challenging play with awe-inspiring scenery. Forced carries and tight fairways put accuracy at a premium at this course, which holds a mind-boggling slope rating of 146 from the back tees.
For golf travelers looking to make Squaw Valley their home base, the golf action will not disappoint, and the resort has four outstanding restaurants, as well as all the amenities any golf traveler should expect from this legendary golf destination that was a host to the 1960 Summer Olympics.

Need Some TLC
The first five holes in the mountain area were awesome, then you went down to valley area and the holes were average with a lot of areas where you had to hit over the marsh areas, which my wife did not like (lost balls).
The course needs some care for or on the tee boxes and greens.
Poor conditions
Great staff, and layout. Very fun course… however, the conditions are below average. “Driving range” is a mat and net, greens in rough shape. Fairways/rough full of clovers, bunkers with grass, not taken care of.
Again, very fun layout, but for $130 it was disappointing. Hope they can get the course in better shape because the potential is there.
Horrible staff
This is the single hardest course I’ve ever played. Not because the course is bad, it’s actually great, but because just trying to find the first tee was like trying to pull teeth. I’ve never “felt” disdain before, but I experienced it at this course. The staff genuinely felt like they hated me I tried contacting them to express my bad experiencee. They have never contacted me back so obviously they don’t care.
First week open
Course just waking up from hibernation, needs work, lay out and views are great, staff are excellent, resort looks 5 star, can't wait to visit again.
Not great
Even given the very mild winter this course is terrible shape. Greens are half dead/rotted, any putt over 5 feet is going to take some much due to the dead spots that are half an inch lower than the rest of the green. Tee boxes are in shambles, some even have 4” tall grass and piles of dirt on them. Staff was great and the hotel is beautiful but the course is currently very rough.
Course is in great condition right now
The course requires accuracy especially off the tee. Conditions are great right now. Be sure the get parking validated at the front desk!
Great views and decent golf
Overall the course was challenging but still very enjoyable. The best part was the amazing views. The course did have some issues with dead grass and the greens were not in the best shape; however for the price compared to other courses in the area I feel it was a good value option. I will be playing here again.
Great place
Amazing views good pace and beautiful weather!
Course conditions need help but still fun
Course condition are a bit rough. Layout and scenic views are still worth playing the course. It's tough and on is on every hole. So bring extra balls.
Lovely….
The natural beauty that surrounds this course is stunning. We saw a Bald Eagle! The course itself is in ok shape and it looks like they are working on it some too.
All in all, I was happy with the value as we got a discounted last minute rate
Stunningly beautiful and challenging
For someone not from this area, the scenery is breathtaking. We walked the course so we had time to enjoy the surroundings. As a senior whose best drives go 150-175 yards and who is accustomed to playing from the second shortest tees, I found the course to be frustrating on many of the holes. It took my best drive or even more just to make it over the impenetrable weeds and marsh to the beginning of the fairway on most of the par 4s and 5s. Go for the scenery but take lots of balls and don’t expect a personal lowest score unless you are a heavy hitter. Or play from the shortest tee box.
Rocky Mountain High
Beautiful setting. Rapid pace of play. Friendly staff Excellent service.
Greens are in rough shape.
A mountain links
A true mountain link in that uts covered in snow during the winter and they just let it spring back to life.
Worth the money for vista's alone, a bit challenging.
Huge let down
Of course, all of the online photos look beautiful, and the scenery was indeed, beautiful. The course conditions however, horrible. The tee boxes were in terrible shape, the greens were worse. When there was a fairway, they weren't great either. Narrow, lots of hazards, and overall, not enjoyable.
Getting to the course, pro shop, and starter were a nightmare as well. Club drop at the top of the hill at the hotel reception. Then drive downhill for parking. Walk back uphill, to where you dropped the clubs, through the hotel lobby, outside, then go downstairs to find the poorly marked pro shop. Once checked in, the starters were disorganized, and had a traffic jam from mismanagement. Will never play here again.
. Disappointing, especially attached to a beautiful resort.
The course is not in great conditioned which was not help by a very stiff wind. I often play at the Incline Village championship course, which is a bit more expensive but in night and day better condition and layout.
Bad shape
I have played this course many times over the years, and the conditions continue to deteriorate, while the price of a round increases. The worst was having to pay $120 to park my car
