Coyote Moon Golf Course

I’ve played here a few times before but I have never seen the course conditions this perfect! It’s been a couple of years since the last time but this was one of my must-play courses! There was absolutely nothing to complain about! Friendly staff, inside & out!

I forgot why I made Coyote Moon was one of my favs in Truckee!

Amazing course in great shape with beautiful views

Coyote Moon is a fantastic course with beautiful views and challenging holes.

Friendly staff and a fun course layout made for an enjoyable round, and the overall course condition was solid. However, the greens were disappointing—bumpy, slow, and inconsistent—and the pace of play was sluggish, which took away from the experience

Pro shop was nonplussed and offered no award or anything.

Such a great and challenging track! Every hole is original and fun. Perfect for the mountain area with greens that present interesting surprises. Had an awesome time and even had a visit or two from a couple coyotes. They didn’t bother us, but just wanted to make sure we were having a good time.

My only gripe. I wasn't able to finish 15 before we drove to the parking lot. Tee'd off at 1:40pm.

The greens were just a little bumpy in a few areas, otherwise nice conditions. The amazing views are what bring me back. the wildlife is kinda cool to. We had no locust issues at all. At the time of this review a few of the other courses were having big locust problems.

First off let me say I showed up and showed them the tee time I booked (in confidence), which I soon learned was the wrong day.. The staff was super friendly and accomodating and gave me a tee time on the spot for my purchased rate. The course was looking sharp, (especially since there was a close fire to the proximity only a couple days prior. A couple of the greens had some work to do but for a course that was 10 feet under snow this winter it's hard to complain. I really enjoyed the layout and the various turns and twists..(especially the boulders).. Get out to this track and give it a go! NOYE: I played Old Greenwood a few days prior and think this place was better..

Pace of play was ridicules and way beyond slow.

Played the course many times, but someone dropped the ball on keeping pace of play. May be the last time we play this course the we have loved for over ten years.

Great course, decent speed of play. Late spring snow and ice apparently caused green damage but overall the course was in very good shape. The driving range is non-existent or at least has only a 20-yard carry into a net. It allows you to warm up your swing but with no distance to determine if you are hitting your ball correctly. The short game chipping and putting greens are excellent. $195 mid summer green fee is a bit steep but the course played nicely and their rental clubs are decent. Overall a beautiful course free of noise and homes. I will definitely play it again if I am visiting Tahoe.

Only the pace of play was slow, because they played with 5 or 8 men in one flight....but the Club Management was flexible so that I could finish at the end the 18 holes.

Love this course. Beautiful, through the forest. Course conditions were excellent. Recommend calling pro shop for reservations, don’t use GolfNow.
