For $55 you won’t find better. They are under renovations so some of the conditions are expected

This place has lost all its charm and character. Zero maintenance or care. It’s sad how bad the shape of the course is. Total lack of pride in once was a great course. Owners should’ve ashamed

Basically the cheapest full size course in San Diego county which I appreciate as a budget golfer.

To know that this was once a premium course and to see it now is just sad. We can only hope the future plans will come to fruition

Some of the fairways are rough. So we allowed a bump. But even with bump a tough course. They are re-seeding tee boxes so some of the tee markers are really long. Still enjoyed it .

I love the course. Didn't love the condition it's in. The greens are what's saving this place in my opinion. I want to CONDEMN golfers who refuse to repair ball marks. These greens are fragile enough. This course is such a great layout. I will return soon. FIX YOUR BALL MARKS GOLFERS.

The course was not at its best condition. The bunk sand is firm and sands on green. But it was still fun to plan. Good for the value.

A good day for golf at Carlton Oaks. Not as hot as earlier in the week, Course was in fair shape, although the greens had been punched two days prior. But it was well advertised so we knew what to expect, Fairways were a little dry in places, but overall, not bad. Recommend this course for a good practice round for an average golfer like me. Probably not the best for a good golfer who takes the game seriously, but reasonably good for the price. Give it a shot for your weekly practice round!

It’s a tough course made even tougher when the condition of the course is not great. I’ve played here within the last couple months & it was in pretty good shape. Not so much today, but I’m sure the weather & time of year played a role. Shot an 80 which is the best I’ve played there, ever. You pay for hitting errant shots. I appreciate that it only cost me $60 when most courses these days easily want $100+. I’m a afraid the prices will skyrocket whenever the remodel of the property is done.

Carlton Oaks is a solid course with a good layout and a friendly crew running the place. The greens rolled nice, and the holes have a good mix that keeps the round interesting. It’s not fancy or over the top — just a good, honest golf course where you can show up, play, and have a good time. I appreciated the relaxed vibe and the way the staff treated people. I’d come back again.

Course was in really ruff shape. Greens were in great shape. Pace of play was extremely slow. Never seen so many hackers in one course at one time ever. Maybe just came on the wrong day!
