Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

we plsyed knock hockey rules for the entire course....that means you can knock your ball to a piece of grass no closer to the hole....sometimes 10 or 15 feet....no lie!!

Played here many times but not for a couple years usually better experience fairways were playing on dirt not much green to play on

I understand that the irrigation pump has been out for a couple of weeks. And with the recent heat, the fairways are in pretty bad shape. In some cases, had to look around for some grass to drop on.. on a positive note, the greens were good, as well as the bunkers which had actually been raked. About half the tee boxes were pretty rough.

We had a good time on the course. A good track to get in 18 at a decent rate. My critiques are, some Greens are slow on the average & Some Tee boxes could use a little TLC (grass too long & holes on the box).

and this might be as good as it gets... fairways and tee boxes are rough but most of the greens were reasonable. two-some ahead of us were awful but having a good time, none the less. For the $$ and a 4 hour round, we have done worst

there was not much grass in the fairway...cmon...water helps

Everything about this course is great. Price, food at the turn, tee boxes, greens, staff, layout, bunker sand is mostly light and true feeling, and pace of play is the beat i have seen. The only draw backs are the fairways due to the water issues the course has had, and the driving range. But as a mid-handicap college student, you cant find a better course. I usually don’t even use the driving range pre round but the issue I have with it is that it is aimed just next to holes 8, 9, and 5. I nearly got hit while chipping on to 5 from the range. But for 42$ with a cart any time after 10, or whatever the price is, it is a problem I am willing to deal with. Barely
