Kissimmee Bay Country Club
About
Opened in 1990, this area favorite is a championship layout designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton around century-old oak trees, lush vegetation, and abundant wildlife. This lakeside gem borders East Lake Toho and features water on 16 holes, undulating fairways, and quick, true greens (tiftdwarf grass).

Not what it was 2 months ago!
A tournament was on my day of play which was explained to me upon my arrival at the course.
The Golf staff was extremely helpful to get me out as close to my tee time as possible. It was a 20 minute delay. Once on the course, pace of play was fast enough where it made up for the delay.
Tees were in fair condition considering a tournament had just finished. Fairways were dry and patchy. The Greens were horrible. Looked like they had been patched up and sprayed with green blending dye. Not just one or two of them but the whole front nine! I decided not too play the back nine.
Hopefully they can fix them up to standards normally encountered at K Bay!
Good luck .
Nice course, some tough holes
An “interesting “ course. Some odd holes %1&9. Greens were in OK shape. Bunkers had nice sand. Fairways were ok to good.
BALLS :)
This course is absolutely gorgeous — like, distractingly beautiful. The kind of place where you line up your shot and suddenly forget you’re golfing because you’re too busy admiring the scenery. It honestly feels like you’ve been dropped straight into Jurassic Park… minus the dinosaurs (although I’m still not 100% convinced something isn’t watching me from the trees).
Now let’s talk about the water. There’s a *lot* of it. And let me tell you — the water is NOT your friend. It’s more like that one guy who smiles at you and then immediately ruins your day. Unless your name is Scuba Steve, just go ahead and accept that your golf balls now belong to the aquatic ecosystem.
Pro tip: bring at least 18 sleeves of balls. I’m not exaggerating. I thought I was prepared… I was not. The course won that battle.
All jokes aside, I had an amazing time. Between the views, the challenge, and the unexpected donation of my entire ball collection, it’s definitely a memorable experience.
Will absolutely be returning soon… with my 18 sleeves ready for round two 😂
Golf Day
Great course for a day of golf. Our group really enjoyed the course and found it a nice challenging course.
Kissimee Bay Golf Course
What a beautiful golf course. There is lots of water on the course and some holes on Bothell sides and around the green. I donated 2 balls to alligators myself. Bring some extra just incase. The fairways are in great shape and the greens are in excellent shape. Some of the tee boxes can use a little work. The back nine to me was a lot more interesting. I will definitely play it again.
Pace of play was lucky.
After a frustrating drive across Kissimmee (this course is maybe 15 miles from my house but in the mornings it takes an hour or more to get there)...I was late. Staff was great, put me out on the back nine by myself and said I would pair up at the turn. A single in a cart with an open nine...I finished in 1:15 (and I wasn't rushing). Made the turn...no one to pair me with...caught up with a group on the third hole. They let me through on the 4th. When I got to the 6th hole (my 15th), I recognized the foursome moving to the 8th hole as the people who were at the 1st tee when they sent me to the back nine. So I had played 15 holes in the time they played 7.
I love that kind of round (and I'm sure the courses hate it because a course that open isn't making a lot of money).
Slow Play
Our round took over 5.5 hours and we had to wait on every hole. They let a group of 3 just ahead of us playing out of one bag. There did not appear to be any course marshals monitoring the pace of play. The course is in moderately good shape, and challenging. Big complaint was pace of play.
Nice layout - lots of GUR
I liked the course overall from a layout perspective. It was a bit tight on certain holes. You can tell that growth of trees has changed some of the layout over time. The greens were rough on different holes. Many places throughout the course had grass that was missing. I felt like I should have paid a bit more to play at another course that would have been in better shape. Oh and by the way - this didn’t include balls for the driving range. Expect to pay an additional $9 for a small bucket of old balls.
Water! Water! Water!
To score well on this course you have to know your distances. Water is always in play! We played in late March. The fairways were firm and we found that our balls rolled off the fairways a number of times.
Hit your irons high! Lots of front green side bunkers with hard packed sand!
This is not a manicured course.
We found that their sister course, Remington Golf, was in better shape than Kissimmee Bay.
Coming from up north, it was still a great way to spend 4 hours near Orlando!
slow play
5-hr round.
Starter was not friendly and we never saw him on the course to remind golfers infront to keep up w/ the group infront of them.
Course was ok.
Very disappointing
We wanted to try a new course. No range balls, no bottles of cold water in the cooler in the pro shop, bunkers haven’t been groomed in a long time, only 1 1/2 trap rakes found on the whole course, and the greens were not good. Overall, it just seems as if nobody cares about providing a quality experience.
Great course
Great layout for a public course. My only complaint is the range balls should be cleaned and inspected. Replace the range balls that are covered with green ‘algae’ like
Not very good Value, but except greens course was decent
Course was in decent shape except for greens on the front 9.
Pleasant surprise
I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had not played the course before. The first couple holes were a little rough, but the rest was in great condition. Enjoyed the variety, the scenery and especially the price.
Beat the storms
Course is in great condition. Cart girl was wonderful. Would recommend coolers as bags with ice are not the best. Maybe spread the tee times a bit because it seemed bunched up but it was a great day.
