Jfy
Some of the greens were very uncharacteristic of Disney courses. Some burned out areas. Otherwise course was I great shape.
Good Bones
Played LBV on Sunday 2/15 fresh off the plane waiting to check into our room. The location of the course and the layout are really cool, as you weave through Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, and Port Orleans Resorts. The feeling of seeing Disney buses, seeing Disney Springs, and hearing the Disney "buzz" around you when you golf is a one-of-a-kind experience. There were also cute Disney signs around hazards and at the beginning of holes. The tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers were in excellent condition. However, the rough and the greens had seen better days. Before playing, I had read that this course was having issues with disease over the last several months and had undergone rigorous overseeding to rectify the issue. I also think that the recent cold snap before our visit killed some of the vegetation around the course, and probably harmed the healing process of the greens. Knowing Disney and how awesome the staff were, I am sure that LBV will be in pristine condition soon. I would definitely play this place again for the experience.
Love the course
It’s a great course, I really enjoyed the round. Too bad the 5 day freeze killed the grass around the fairway.
Great frost delay rebound!
Thoughtful advance notice of frost delay. Very accommodating getting us out adap. Best golf cart EVER, turn signals, horn, parking break and consideration meandering off path without the abrupt back up nonsense. Awesome handholdong by staff and attntion to detail. Old school style service and present, yet tollerant and polite marshall. Can't wait to return. Also, appropriate pairing of twosomes to our skill levels - had a wonferful time. Tight first hole slows play.
Always a great track
Always enjoy playing Disney courses in Orlando. Lake Buena Vista is my favorite Disney course to play and it was no different this time around. The course was in great shape and the greens were rolling great. Would recommend this course to any handicap (choose the tees that work for you).
Not what you pay for.
This was my first time playing in Disney world or near its property. I was extremely excited hearing great things about courses on the Disney world grounds and convinced my wife to let me play golf on her birthday trip here during the week. I was able to book the course on golf now for a lot cheaper than on the website and still payed 90$ for the 18 at noon. The course staff was very friendly and accommodating. Carts were also clean and in great condition. However the course was in sub par shape. The greens were not consistent, patchy, and even had dirt spots on some. The t boxes were pretty wore out as well. There were a few fairways that were in good condition but overall the course was pretty poor especially for the price point they ask. Overall course design was good and was content with the layout. I’m from the south and play a lot of courses this time of year with same climate and courses back home are more than half that price and in much better shape. I would not pay the price for this course again.
Worst greens ever…fairways not much better
This should be a beautiful course but most of the fairways were spongy, wet, or muddy even though it had lightly rained once in three days. The greens were the worst I’ve ever seen; half of the grass was dead and the rest was dying. No consistency to it so your ball bounced everywhere. I could not believe the course was actually open. Driving range was mats only. My foursome joked that we hoped the greens on the course were not as bad as the practice green (this is Disney for goodness sakes). No warning by the staff other than “cart path only on 1, 8, & 18.” When we asked after the round, we were told they are considering shutting down in December to make some adjustments. Not what I was expecting.
Nice views but below average course conditions
Enjoyable course with nice layout and views but I was expecting better course conditions. Greens were rough.
Such a shame
This course is in a great location and has a great layout. All the holes offer a good challenge to every level of golfer.
The condition of the Green and most of the fairways are an absolute disgrace. The course needs to be closed for a few months and the greens repaired correctly. Those greens today were without doubt the worst I’ve ever played on.
RIP OFF
Do not play here! 5+ hour round. They punched fairways greens and tee boxes. Fairways more like rough to be honest. I was catching flier lies. Greens were horrific- fungus and punched greens everywhere.
Awesome course really poor conditions.
I had played this course many times before and it always is in immaculate conditions. Unfortunately it was not the case this time around. To our surprise the course was entirely aerated every were, T Boxes, fairways, and greens. They had just done aeration the day before and it was very disappointing that it was not stated on Golf Now and when we did our check in at the pro shop. I was really looking forward to playing this great course and since there was no course conditions notification on Golf Now I was expecting the usual conditions. Very disappointing to say the least.
