Disappointing experience
This place really fell off over the last 2 years. For what they’re charging, it’s insane how poor the conditions are. Every tee box is destroyed. Fairway are disgusting. Greens…. Don’t even bother.
Love the layout
From fairway to green is pretty scruffy. But the traps are good the greens are good it doesn’t happen overnight and the track is one of my favorites. The crew is working hard to get the course back in shape.
Horrendous
This golf course charged $120ea on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. Completely dead driving range, practically “bald” range balls and crusted thin mats to hit off of. Overgrown tee boxes, overgrown and weed ridden fairways. Half of the “black” tee boxes were either pure sand or dirt. Over grown trees making tee shots unplayable. Greens that had 10+ ball marks all over the place, barren spots, and unattended blemishes. Not a course I would ever pay $120 to play again. Pace of play was fine but still lackluster given the price.
The ladies in the snack shack were very nice - the cart girl needs to know when to park the cart and conduct business properly. Not ripping open draws and throwing ice around while people are hitting shots.
Glad I came back
I played here a few months ago and it was ok for the discounted price from GolfNow. Wasn’t sure it was worth the price then! ($60) I happened to see a price that was too good to pass up! ($45) Well, I’m glad I went (50 min drive)! The course was in the best shape I have seen it in many, many years!
Go play and see why this was one of the best courses in the South Bay!
Eagle Ridge transition
Eagle Ridge is a wonderful Track but in average condition. It's my recommendation that Eagle Ridge transitions to a naturalist golf course with a Single line targeted irrigation system similar to what you would find in Desert communities, that can substantially shrink the irrigation footprint of the golf course. By transitioning to a naturalist desert style golf course, Eagle Ridge will save the City water while simultaneously allowing the maintenance staff to MANICURE a smaller portion of the golf course and make Eagle Ridge more competitive with cinnabar hills and coyote creek.
Not what it used to be.
Course was in rough shape. Tee boxes beat up, fairways not mowed with bald spots, crab grass weeds and lots of ground squirrel holes. Weather was great, greens in better shape than rest of the course. At one time this was a top tier course. Sadly no longer.
Needs TLC
Rough fairways filled with crab grass. Restrooms were atrociously filthy. Ground squirrels rule
Challenging
This course has a great layout, but there are weeds in the fairway, in the rough, in the sand trap, and a few on the greens.
The course could use some water.
there are great views.
this course is challenging if you're a wild player if you can't keep it straight it's going to be difficult day. there are some narrow sections of the course , and honestly it is kind of hard to see your ball in the fairway they are not as smooth like most courses,it could be hiding behind some weeds. I couldn't recommend it for beginning players I think it could be fun for experience players if they know where they hit their ball.
Its been better but still a great course.
I went on a day where it was raining the day. I gor there a few minutes early not many people around. Checked in at the club house two gentlemen greeted me there. Explained to me that the carts are under a awning to keep them dry which was nice their was no Marshall. The greens were sadly beaten up due to no one fixing there ball marks. The bunkers were also unkepted and not raked. Still one of my favorite courses ive played. The snack bar was closed by the time i was done with my round at 3pm.
Good bones but desperately needing love.
When this course first opened it was fantastic. However the post pandemic has seen the level of maintenance decline. There was a time I played here monthly, now it is every couple of years hoping it will bounce back.
I will say that the bunkers are much improved compared to their state a few years ago. However tees, greens, fairways, and range have all declined.
And in a first for me, it seems that wedding parties can take carts on course for photos. During play.
Incredibly poor condition
Wow what happened? Almost $100 weekend green fee and there are weeds everywhere in the fairways and tee boxes, bare spots in the greens etc. on top of that we bought a medium bucket of range balls at 10:30am but there were no balls. And to top it off we teed off at about 11am and were done about 5:15pm. Yeah weekend rounds can be slow but over six hours??? Staff were very nice.
Eagle Ridge transition to Desert style course
Eagle Ridge is a wonderful Track but in below average condition. It's my recommendation that Eagle ridge transitions to a naturalist golf course with a Single line targeted irrigation system that can substantially shrink the irrigation footprint of the golf course and make it easier to maintain. By transitioning to a naturalist style golf course, Eagle ridge will save the City water while simultaneously allowing the maintenance staff to BEAUTIFY a smaller portion of the golf course and make eagle ridge more competitive with Cinnabar Hills and Coyote Creek.
Eagle Ridge needs help...
Played here about a year ago and it was in good shape, not anymore. Cigarette butts on the ground, range in bad shape with old beat up balls. Weeds and neglect everywhere. The woman in the Pro shop never even looked up at us once and we were the only people there. Seems like a money issue cuz there were very few maintenance people and an obvious lack of spraying and mowing that had taken place anytime recently.
Not what it used to be :(
Played here many times in the past and it's sad to see it in it's current condition. Weeds growing around the greens, rocks in the sand traps and many bald spots on the fairways.
