Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club
About
Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club is a James Braid design that measures nearly 6,000 yards from the tips. It's not long, but the golf course's small, deceptive greens and strategically placed bunkers will keep things interesting.
Players will also have to reckon with the public road dissecting the course, the proximity of the sea to eight of the holes and the thick swaths of gorse that punish wayward shots. The par-5 fourth hole is one to watch out for, arguably the toughest challenge on the course.

Links Golf at its best
My son and I took the opportunity to play the course which is driven past so many times. The welcome was so warm and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. We used the range to warm up in perfect conditions. Simple and spacious!
The first tee is daunting with the Moray Firth off to the left and people walking the coastal path. After the usual substandard tee shot we got into the swing of things. It’s a course that benefits straight shots and distance accuracy.
I want to say a massive thanks to the two pairs who were behind us. Really friendly people who took the time to help and advise.
It really was a privilege to play this course.
Really fun course
Wonderful firm fast conditions. Always windy. Most fun playing golf in a long time.
Tight Course
Played on a very breezy day in July. Course in lovely condition. Pretty tight fairways with some quirky holes towards Channonry point. Not a lot of room between holes and the road is a hazard to deal with.
Beautiful course pace of play good greens in great condition
Classic Links Course
Exceptionally fun to play.
