Enjoyed the course and will be back. Cart path only since fairways were very wet, had a water stop on front and back nine but needed more due to heat and cart path only. Greens were in great condition as were the fairways.

Due to excessive rain leading up to our date of play we were cart path only.

As wet as the course was the greens remained firm and fast, they were in great shape.

Played Sanctuary Cove for the first time on Labor Day after finding an AMAZING deal on GolfNow, and this course is absolutely going on my "play again ASAP" list!

The staff was incredibly friendly, the greens were beautiful, the views were even better, and the course was in fantastic shape. And can we talk about the GRASS?! It was so thick, soft, and fluffy that I genuinely wanted to take my shoes off and walk through it barefoot. Yes I resisted, because apparently we're supposed to have some standards on the golf course.

The layout was the perfect combination of challenging and fun. There were definitely some holes that required a little strategy… and several where my golf ball politely declined to participate in said strategy. As a newer golfer, I really enjoyed that it was challenging without taking the fun out of the round.

They also provide complimentary water and ice, which was VERY appreciated on a hot Labor Day in coastal GA. Love bug season had apparently received our tee time because they showed up in full force, including a few swarms throughout the course. Honestly though, I'll take love bugs over mosquitoes and gnats any day.

Another HUGE plus is their "At the Turn" menu. Call around hole 8, and they'll have your food ready when you make the turn. For only $10 you can get a hot dog & chips, burger & string fries, or your choice of a cold sandwich with chips. Even the chef was super friendly!

Great staff, beautiful scenery, excellent course conditions, a fun and challenging layout, affordable food, and a great value through GolfNow. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about our experience.

My 12 year old and I stopped in on the way to Jacksonville and played, they had gotten a lot of rain(CPO) and everything plugged everywhere. Greens were true, a bit slow from not being able to cut from the rain, but still smooth. Layout was good, back nine was gorgeous in the marsh! Will go back.

Positives:

- perfect course for all skill levels. Wide fairways, big, fast, almost-perfect greens. Fairways are gorgeous.

- I got a nice deal that cut their normal $100 rate in half.

Negatives:

- Steady drizzle, so they switched the carts to CPO, even though everywhere I walked was firm. It’s pretty clear they just got scared at the radar instead of actually driving out to check the fairway firmness. Do you know how irritating it is to pay for a cart that can’t go anywhere?

- Simple turkey&cheese sandwich at the turn is $15. Ouch.

- They were recently closed for course maintenance, and it showed. Looks like they tried to hack down the brush, but made no effort to clean up the aftermath.

Beautifully maintained. Nice layout with shade in a hot climate. Challenging for different levels of golfer abilities. Lots of free water and ice. Free range balls. Very pleasant staff. Very accessible from Jacksonville Fl.. even better deal on golf now.

've played from the senior tees but played whites with the boys..There was a couple of greens on the back 9 that were a little questionable, but overall in fantastic shape. Will definitely be back

Played today and we were given a rate of $95 after just showing up with NO tee time and expecting a $125. The rate was due to the just finished aerification, but course was about healed up. Golf cart staff, Pro Shop Staff and Restaurant staff with great as usual. Thanks to all and we will be back in September!

The course is an excellent layout and a true test of golf. However this is my third time playing this track in the last couple of months, and it’s always the same. The range balls are terrible. For some strange reason the carts are extremely slow, each time lately we felt like the cart didn’t have enough juice to make 18 holes. Another awful policy is to Not have any water fit to drink anywhere on the course….the heat index was 111. The folks in charge don’t have any regard for their guests. This is a fact and a really sad situation

Picked up a teetime on the holiday weekend after reading the course of views saying in great shape and an excellent layout. Arrived at the course and found out they recently punched the greens, would’ve been nice to have a heads up or even possibly a discounted round. Yes I decided to play rather than loosing $100.

Told by the starter that over the past few weeks they lost a lot of grass but I didn’t know what that meant till I hit the first green. Bare spots all over the greens and fairways and some tee boxes . That combined with punched greens not worth 100+ dollars. Holes 15-17 were very picturesque but not enough to make up for a very poor playing conditions. Don’t recommend playing here for a while.

From the moment we arrived, the course was in outstanding condition — beautifully maintained fairways, smooth greens, and scenic views that make every hole memorable.

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any more memorable, we encountered an unexpected “visitor” out on the course that honestly felt like a ghost sighting! It definitely added an unforgettable twist to an already incredible round and gave us something to talk about long after the final putt dropped.

The Sanctuary Golf Club is more than just a round of golf — it’s an experience. Beautiful, challenging, and just mysterious enough to keep things interesting. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Waverly area.

One of the best courses I have played. Pristine. And the food is good too!

Course is in great shape, worth the money to play. Staff is very friendly.
