Brentwood Golf Club - Hillside/Diablo Course

Very nice people here and a great value. The course is a fun one!

The course is layed out well, lots of challenge, and they've switched back to the original configuration. The fairways are in decent shape, the greens roll really nice, and it's a fun course. The bunkers are a disgrace, better treated as ground under repair, unless you want to beat rocks with your wedges. There is no sand in any bunker on the course, just dirt and rocks. I wish they could invest money in the course, it could be a real gem if they would hire some real grounds keepers. The owner seems to understand the need for change, but focuses on the wrong things, like investing $500k on turning the restaurant into a Korean BBQ, which of course didn't pan out. Still, fun golf, cheap price, crappy carts.

This course needs a lot of work. There is mostly dirt under a thin layer of sand in the traps so we played they as GIR.

The greens have 5 different type of bent grass and all need to have divot repair treatment.

Holes 9-15. No correct GPS yardage!

We enjoyed our round of golf and the staff was friendly and courteous. I would return to play again soon.

Course was lush, some areas sloshy. Adequate sand in bunkers and tee boxes needs to be levelled. Maybe 2/18 boxes are flat. The greens need to be punched, sanded and rolled, putts wobble a good amount.

Good layout course with a very good space of play. Great price! I really don’t want to give a good rating because this will be my destination playing course. However, it deserves a good rate. Sand Bunkers needed more sands.

Greens are in better condition from last year. Fairways still need work.

The course was a dog patch. Greens are shot, the tee boxes are mostly dirt. The fairways are hard and dead. The sand traps are all dirt no sand

The general course condition ranks from bad to worse. The irrigation system isn't managed well and "fairways" can contain bogs. No sand in the bunkers. One tee box was an uneven sanded area of clumps; for three sets of tee markers. Greens are suffering, nobody repairs ball marks and it was a five hours + round with a 9:45 tee time.
